Kay Vess can learn many good abilities and skills from the Experts inStar Wars Outlaws, but some are more useful than others. Many improve skills or items you already have, and some give you more leeway than you had previously. All of them will help you become the best outlaw you can whilemaking a name for yourself and climbing to the top.

Gaining abilities inStar Wars Outlawsdiffers slightly from other RPGs. In this game, you will become acquainted with Experts, who can then share their knowledge with you if you show you have the potential. This means that each skill is a mini-game,where you must pass certain requirements to gain the abilitiesand earn the trust of the Experts while you are at it.

Star Wars Outlaws Has An Oddly Refreshing Take On The Rebels

Star Wars Outlaws briefly touches on the larger scope of the galactic war and, with it, introduces a viewpoint rarely mentioned in Star Wars media.

10Lockpicking

Bram Shano

Lockpicking inStar Wars Outlawsis a task that Kay Vess will have toquickly become familiar with. It is an essential ability, and while you learn it early in the game, once you have completed some of the early “tutorial” stages, you will find yourself using your data spike in everything you can. It is one of the best abilities in the game for that very reason.

These abilities, while ranked to some degree, are all extremely useful throughout the course of the game and have been chosen by looking at the best abilities of each expert in the game that players can unlock.

Bram Shano in Star Wars Outlaws

This ability is unlocked by default, but youmustcomplete the mission to get your data spike fixedbefore using it. This will cause some drama between you and the one who fixes it, but you should not be too worried as you will escape the tutorial and move on to other dangers.

9Smoke Bomb

Selo, The Mechanic

While the Speeder upgrades are no joke, and it is excellent to make your main mode of transport better, theSmoke Bomb is an incredible ability. Being able to blind all nearby enemies and later being able to upgrade the Smoke Bomb is a massive improvement to the many stealth sections of the game andcan make your life a lot easier. This is a great ability to unlock as early as possible.

Later, once it’s unlocked, you canvisit other Experts like Aila the Splicer to get the Concussive Smoke, which gives you the added benefit of staggering enemies in the grey cloud of smoke as opposed to blindly throwing out cursors without being sure who they are targeting. It’s the best play to be.

8Treasure Hunter

With Selo The Mechanicmaking a second appearance on the list, you will be happy to know that YouTuberPop Pop Pop Gameshas a great video about finding and unlocking her as an Expert. After that, you will need to take these steps to make Nix happy and unlock the Treasure Hunter ability. This will reveal the extremelyuseful ability for Nix to show you where any containers near you are, making looting a breeze.

Containers usually host a plethora of great items, notably Credits, but sometimes you can get your hands on valuables, upgrade parts, and other things you will find that will make a pretty profit for you as you try to reach a Core World.

7Lightfooted

Aila The Slicer

Aila has several beneficial upgrades, including the Slicer, which you can see unlocked byI.Eat.Gameson YouTube. Lightfooted is quite useful. This will allow you to be able to make significantly less noise while walking and sprinting. Thiscan make it a lot easier to move aroundand perform the heists required. This is a great tactic for anyone who wants to play it sneaky.

Any time you have a low reputation with a syndicate and want to move through their territory, you will have a hard time remaining hidden unless you have this perk.

Temmin in Star Wars Outlaws

Running through various fields or areas with five enemies on your case at all times certainly has its charm and fun, but nowyou can still enjoy the thrills of running with the added thrill of not being noticed. To unlock:

Every Expert In Star Wars Outlaws

Unlike many past Ubisoft titles with skill trees and XP points, Star Wars Outlaws uses its “experts” as a way to unlock new skills.

6Electro-Shock Prod

Temmin The Scavenger

The Elctro-Shock Prod will give your stealth takedowns more punch, allowing you to perform stealth takedowns on elite enemies. This can make your life a little easier when navigating the tumultuous territories of other enemies. This is mainly because you can take on stronger enemies from before without facing them head-on.Making your enemies vulnerable will only help you.

Temmin’s other abilities, such as theIon Smoke Bomb, can be useful. Being able to turn defensive, stealth weapons into ones that can also disable devices and droids is very handy, especially when the Imperials have many of those traps. Of course, none of these things will beat having a good reputationwith any syndicates.

5Decryption Module

MT-7 The Veteran

While this is one of the default unlocks for MT-7, itallows you to decrypt Separatist Datadiscs. To unlock the default version, see YouTuberTof Gaming’s video. This will provide a fair bit more information and allow you to learn new things throughout the game. It can even inform you where you might find a little loot or treasure to help you along the way. This can be good news for those who still want to explore and find out more about the variousplanets inStar Wars Outlaws.

The game is not super clear on what kind of information you may get from these Datadiscs that will be useful to you. Usually, this will lead you to some loot or a small quest that you would not have been able to decrypt previously.

4Top Roll Maneuver

Rooster The Mercenary

This isone of the better upgrades for The TrailblazerinStar Wars Outlaws. It is a good one, although you first have to unlock the Loop Maneuver. As there are several big space battles, having a consistent way to outflank your enemies is a good thing. If all is well, youcanland behind your enemies and take them outbefore you have to worry about anything else.

If you want to know more about upgradingThe Trailblazer, you may check out this guide by YouTuberRetroKrystal, who covers how and what it’s like. It is essential you do at least some weapon upgrading toget through the story and fight some epic space battles. It is one of the times you do not have to be as stealthy, and the space battles are genuinely fun.

3Speeder Shot

Quint The Gunslinger

The Speeder, as you will learn early in the game, does not have much in the way of defenses. If enemies catch onto you, you must hope to dodge them and find refuge in neutral territory. However, this Expert ability allows you to do otherwise, giving you some control over how you deal with other enemies on your Speeder. This can help youincrease your offensive capabilitieson an otherwise very defensive vehicle.

To unlock the ability to fight back, you mustwin three speeder races and land five headshots on speeder-mounted enemies. This can be a tough challenge, but well worth it if you manage to get it right.

How To Clear Wanted Level In Star Wars Outlaws

Your Wanted Level in Star Wars Outlaws determines how fiercely the Empire comes after you as you travel, so you’ll want to clear it to reduce danger.

2Magnetic Dice

Teeka The Hotfixer

Being able tocheat on your Sabacc playing journey can be extremely helpful. While there are other ways to win Sabacc, in the Wild West of games, you are going to want to have some kind of edge on your opponents. This gives you that opportunity, although the challenges of acquiring thisone could be a little tricky.

1Just Improvise

Lando The High Roller

With oneLando Calrissian back in action inStar Wars Outlaws, players will want to find and recruit him. It is possible, although it is easier if yourstanding with Crimson Dawn is good enough. This will help you get an extra Adrenaline Rush when you need it most. Getting out of desperate situations is hard work, but being able to do so and having an extra rush afterward will only help your reputation build over time as you escape with very few casualties inStar Wars Outlaws.
