Superman & Loisis going to end with its next episode, and season 4 has set up many possible events for theDCseries' finale that would present plenty of twists and turns. Tyler Hoechlin is one of the bestlive-action Superman actors, with his work on the DC series being nuanced, offeringthe perfect versions of both the Clark Kent and Supermansides of the character. Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane has also always been on point, andSuperman & Loisseason 4’s castas a whole delivers in every episode.

Now, there is only one entry left before thelive-action DC seriessays goodbye for good.Superman & Loisseason 4, episode 9’s endingset up the series finale by building up tensions to an epic scale.Lex Luthor dons an improved version of Steel’s suit and Doomsday is free, more powerful than ever, and fighting Superman again. Based on the season’s many plotlines and episode 9’s setup, some major events could happen inSuperman & Lois' series finale.

10Doomsday Will Turn On Lex Luthor

The Monster Has Already Done So Before

The first major prediction for theSuperman & Loisfinale relates to Doomsday’s role. After Lex Luthor killed the monster again in episode 9, Doomsday has now evolved to his most powerful form yet, also looking the most comic book-accurate the creature ever has in live-action.Doomsday killed Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of SteelinSuperman & Lois' season 4 premiere. Since then, both characters have changed greatly.

Superman & Lois' Newest Episode Ending Genuinely Just Broke My Heart

Superman & Lois season 4 set up what could be a heartbreaking finale, as Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman has two major characters to fight for his life.

Superman is now losing his powers as Doomsday is at its most powerful. As such, the best possible way for Clark Kent to survive is by turning Doomsday against its creator, Lex Luthor. Lois Lane managed to get Doomsday to betray Lex before, with the monster flying away and trying to get home. While Lois failed to do so again in episode 9, she could be able toconvince the part of Bizarro that still lives inside Doomsdayjust as he is about to deliver the killing blow to Clark, sending Doomsday against Luthor instead.

9Lex Luthor Will Kill Doomsday For Good

Michael Cudlitz’s Lex Luthor Is At His Most Powerful

Michael Cudlitz has made his version of Lex Luthor perhaps the most frightening take on the character in live-action.Superman & Lois' series finale will see Lex Luthor on the brink of getting his revenge on Superman and Lois Lane.Lex can now go toe-to-toe with the Man of Steel, as he had Milton hack Steel’s suit and augment it with Kryptonite. The enhancement allowed him to kill Doomsday in episode 9.

The Steel suit has been used inSuperman & Loisas a version ofLex Luthor’s warsuitfrom DC Comics.

However, theSuperman & Loisseries finale could see him do it for good.Lex has found plenty of ways to kill Bizarro and Doomsday in the past, all to get the character to evolve and become more of a threat to Superman. However, there is a decent chance that Doomsday will flip and fight Lex in the finale, which would lead to the villain being the one to finally kill Doomsday for good, perhaps explaining why Lex was fighting Superman without Doomsday in sight in theSuperman & Loisseries finale trailer.

8Doomsday’s Heart Will Restore Superman To Full Health

Clark Kent Finds A Way To Continue As Superman

The Man of Steel is in a tough spot. After John Henry Irons scanned Clark, he discovered that General Sam Lane’s heart is not compatible with his Kryptonian body. As such, Superman is not only losing his powers, which will be fully gone at some point, but his body is also deteriorating. This means thatSuperman will die earlier than he should, perhaps having as much time as Lane had left, perhaps less.

The perfect way forSuperman & Loisseason 4 to end with Clark back at full health is for Doomsday to either die and the Kents give its heart to Clark or for the monster to voluntarily give away his heart.

There are some limited ways for the hero not to have such a bleak ending, and Doomsday seems like the best alternative. The perfect way forSuperman & Loisseason 4 to end with Clark back at full health is for Doomsday to either die and the Kents give its heart to Clark or for the monster to voluntarily give away his heart.Bizarro remembering who he is one final time before saving Supermanis the ideal ending for his arc.

7Superman & The Superboys Defeat Lex Luthor

Jonathan And Jordan’s Biggest Fight Is Coming

Jordan Kent has been training to be comfortable with his powers sinceSuperman & Loisseason 1. After spending most of the show as a regular human, Jonathan discovered he had powers early in season 4. Jonathan was a natural, developing several powers at once and being more or less a master in all of them. However, bothJordan and Jonathan do not have enough combat experience to fight Doomsday and Lex Luthor.

However,Superman & Loisseason 4, episode 9, showed that through teamwork, the two can take on bigger threats. That was Clark Kent’s hope, as he trained his sons to act like a team and fight together. That tease should be paid off in theSuperman & Loisseries finale. With Superman weakened, Jordan and Jonathan canprovide him with the help he needs to finally take down Lex Luthor, even if the villain has his power suit.

6The Superboys Are Shown Saving The World In A Flash Forward

Jonathan & Jordan Finally Fulfill Their Destiny

Superman & Loishas always been about legacy. The show’s hook is the fact that the DC series focuses on older versions of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, veterans in a world filled with villains and Superman as its sole hero. Seeing Lois and Clark raise two teenage boys and teaching them about how to use their powers to become heroes is what has made the series so special.

Superman & Lois' series finale can finally show what that ending looks like for Jonathan and Jordan. The episode should be mostly focused on the two major threats at hand, Doomsday and Lex Luthor. However, after the superhero fights are out of the way, a look at what is in store for the show’s characters in the future would make sense for a show that is about legacy. A flash forward showinga retired Clark with Lois while Jonathan and Jordan take to the skiesas Superboys or Supermen would be pretty emotional.

5Clark Kent Will Die

The biggest possible event of the finale, and the series as a whole, would be the death of Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman. Sure, the Man of Steel has died before, at the start of season 4. However, since there was a whole season left, no one expected Clark to stay dead for too long. However, withSuperman losing his powersand having to face Lex Luthor and Doomsday at their most powerful, things look bleak for the DC hero.

There are two major ways for how Clark could die in theSuperman & Loisseries finale. The first would be in battle, with Superman dying as he fights Doomsday or Lex Luthor, saving his family and the world but perishing. The second way is if the hero defeats the threats but cannot fix or replace his heart. Superman could either overextend himself to save the world and die, or a time jump leads toClark’s death when Lane’s heart finally gives out.

4Steel Will Manage To Get His Suit Back

John Henry Irons Will Be Back For The Finale

Sadly,Superman & Loisseason 4 suffered budget cuts, which led to a shorter episode count and major characters from the show’s past three seasons playing a limited role in season 4. One of the characters affected by those issues was Wolé Parks' John Henry Irons. Steel has appeared in a couple of episodes ofSuperman & Loisseason 4, and the hero had his suit stolen by Milton, with Lex Luthor now in charge of it.

Milton

It is hard to imagineSuperman & Loisending in a way that makes Lex Luthor completely victorious. As such, Steel’s confirmed return in the series finale could be what leads to the villain’s downfall. While Milton and Lex have control of the Steel suit for now, John Henry Irons andallSuperman & Loiscore cast members return in the finale, giving Irons enough help to find a way todistract Milton and hack his suit back, leaving Lex defenseless.

3Tal-Rho Makes A Surprise Appearance

Superman’s Brother Can Come Back One Final Time

Adam Rayner’s Tal-Rho is an original character created forSuperman & Lois. Starting out as a villain, Tal became one of Superman’s closest allies. However, his brother is nowhere to be seen, asTal-Rho is now in the Inverse World. Episode 9 ofSuperman & Loisteased a way for Tal to get back, as Doomsday was trying to clear a path in the mines back to the portal to the Inverse World so he could go home.

Tal-Rho flying out of the mines to save Supermanfrom Doomsday or Lex Luthor would make for an epic moment in the finale. The character could also be the perfect solution to Clark’s failing heart. Tal-Rho could sacrifice his life for his brother, giving Clark his heart after helping the Kents defeat Michael Cudlitz’s Lex Luthor and Doomsday.

2Superman Restores His Powers By Absorbing Solar Energy

The Superman & Lois Finale Trailer Teased The Yellow Sun’s Role

In theSuperman & Loisseason 2 finale,Tal-Rho flew Superman into the sun, with the Man of Steel then recharging his powers and growing to an even greater level for a little time. The tactic that allowed Superman to defeat the two Ally Allstons could be back in play for theSuperman & Loisseries finale. While Clark is weaker now, theSuperman & Loisfinale trailer shows a way for him to power back up.

In the trailer seen above, there is a moment where Superman is shown to be in space, taking in solar energy once again. That could lead to Clark getting the boost he needs to defeat Doomsday and Lex Luthor in the Steel suit.Superman’s solar energy power-up might even lead to a way for the hero to be cured, though a temporary boost is the expected result.

1Amanda McCoy Reveals That Superman’s Heart Was Never Destroyed

A Shocking Twist That Would Change Everything

Finally,Superman & Loiscould have one final shocking twist in store. One of the show’s most surprising moments was whenLex Luthor threw Superman’s heart on the ground and stepped on it. The moment seemed to seal Superman’s fate at first, and even though Clark came back to life, it did in a way, as Superman is slowly dying without his heart.

DC Just Confirmed Its Latest Superman Is Losing His Powers & I’m Genuinely Heartbroken

Superman & Lois season 4 just had a shocking reveal, and Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman is on his way out with a sad story before David Corenswet debuts.

Lois Lane managed to flip Amanda McCoy in episode 9, and now that she sees Luthor for who he is, Amanda could reveal that Superman’s heart was not destroyed. There has been speculation that Lex might have put Superman’s heart into himself, though the villain could also have it somewhere to run experiments on the Kryptonian heart. If that does happen, Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman could get a happy ending with his friends and family in theSuperman & Loisseries finale.
