10Fuegoleon Vermillion
The Captain of the Crimson Lions
Fuegoleon Vermillion is a powerhouseof a Magic Knight Captain.He’s the leader of one of the strongest magic knight squads in the Crimson Lions and is an excellent leader for them as well. It’s widely agreed that Fuegoleon is the strongest Magic Knight Captain as well and it’s easy to see why. Vermillion was the first to notice that Patry was inhabiting William Vangeance’s body, giving the Clover Knights a fighting chance against their elvish enemies.
Fuegoleon is the commander of the fire users in the Clover Kingdom. He has recently beenchosen by the fire spirit, Salamander, as well, adding even more fuel to his fire. When he lost his arm, he didn’t even flinch. Instead, he created a new arm made entirely of fire, using it against his enemies with even more devastation than before.
9Gaja
The Leader of the Spirit Guardians
Gaja is the leader of the Heart Kingdom’s most elite group of mages,the Spirit Guardians. He’s so strong that even their combined efforts couldn’t get near him when the Black Bulls first arrive in the Heart Kingdom. His mastery of Lightning Magic coupled with his ability to use True Lightning Magic make himthe strongest person in the Heart Kingdomas a whole as well, as his leader, Queen Lolopechika, isn’t good at offensive magic at all.
Gaja is able to use the Heart Kingdom’s unique magic technique “Mana Method” to use the surrounding mana to his advantage. He was able to share his skills with Luck Voltia and Leopold Vermillion as well, strengthening his allies.When the evil Vanica took Lolopechika,Gaja stops at nothing to get his Queen back.
8Licht
The Strongest of all Elves and Sword Magic Master
Licht was a force to be reckoned with even before he was fully awakened. In a half-conscious state, he was more than strong enough to handle both Asta and Yuno together. When he was fully awakened,the devil Zagred stood no chance against the Sword Magic expert.Asta’s swords originally belonged to Licht,one of the strongest elves in anime. He borrowed them to devastating effect, wiping away Zagred’s magic like it was nothing.
If Licht hadn’t initially been put under Zagred’s magic, nobody else would have killed him. He was strong enough to lead a peace agreement between the humans and elves before the devil got in the mix. His spells Origin Flash and Origin Flash Barrage were able to take out tornadoes by themselves.His Ultimate Spell, Demon-Dweller Sword: Conquering Eon,was able to finally put an end to Zagred before the rest of the Clover Knights helped to finish him as well.
7Yuno Grinberryall
The Son of Spade Royalty, Asta’s Rival, and Sylph’s Chosen
Yuno Grinberryall has what it takes to become thesingle strongest character inBlack Clover.He’s the son of the former king and queen of the Spade Kingdom, was chosen by the Spirit of Wind Sylph, is the reincarnation of Licht and Tetia’s unborn son, and is Asta’s eternal rival, giving him the motivation he needs to constantly surpass his limits. He’s the youngest-ever Vice-Captain of the Golden Dawn, the highest-ranking squad of magical knights in the Clover Kingdom.
Black Clover’s Yuno Admits the Tragic Reason He Can Surpass Asta
With recent events in Black Clover seemingly changing Asta’s destiny forever, Yuno makes a jaw-dropping confession and vows to become the Wizard King.
Combined with the Wind Spirit, Yuno unleashes devastating attacks.His strongest spells include Sylph’s Breath, where he can channel Sylph’s energy into a single, powerful attack, and Spirit of Zephyr, where Yuno creates a giant two-handed sword out of spirit energy. He was key in the fight against Zagred, and was almost able to fight off the powerful Zenon Zogratis when he infiltrated the Golden Dawn.

Zenon Zogratis is a character with next-level powers inBlack Clover.Spatial Magic is already one of the strongest magic types in the series, andcombined with Bone Magic, Zenon can be lethal in an instant.He makes quick work of William Vangeance, the Captain of the Golden Dawn, and captures him without taking any damage. Yuno arrives and puts up a pretty good fight, but even he’s no match for one of the strongest villains inBlack Clover.
Zenon only uses 55% of his Devil Power to wipe out the highest-ranking squad in the Clover Kingdom. He heals so quickly, Yuno can’t damage him in the slightest. Zenon destroyed the Golden Dawn before heading over to the Black Bulls andfinishing off Yami when he wasn’t paying attention.He was then able to take his brother Dante and Yami with him back to the Spade Kingdom, where they can continue their goal of creating the Tree of Qliphoth.
5Lumiere Silvamillion Clover
The First Wizard King
Lumiere Silvamillion Clover earned the position of first Wizard King. He’s a kindhearted, forward-thinking man who wanted to end the tension developed between humans and elves. By befriending Licht, he did just that. When he was revived 500 years in the future, he was immediately ready to defend his kingdom, and his elvish friends, again. He’sone of the few characters in the series to use Light Magic, one of the most powerful types of magic in every series it shows up in.
Lumiere’s Light Magic allows him to move quickly, fire multiple beams at once, or use his high-powered Lamp of Avior spell to send a single bullet of Light Magic at his opponent. With Licht, Yuno, and Asta fighting alongside him, he made quick work of the devil Zagred who threatened his kingdom 500 years in the past.
4Asta
The Anti-Magic Swordsman
Asta is quickly becoming one of the most beloved shōnen protagonistsof the modern age. His ability to dig deep and overcome the obstacles in front of him is his greatest strength. He’s the first person to jump into battle to defend his friends, and his Anti Magic is the strongest magic type in the series. With multiple demon-slaying swords in his arsenal, there aren’t many characters stronger than Asta. He wants to be the Wizard King, and at this rate, there isn’t anyone stopping him.

Dante Zogratis loves being evil. He relishes in his power and can’t wait to exert it over his next victim.He uses both Gravity and Body Magic, changing his body in size and mass in an instant.Using spells like Heavy Infighting, Dante is one of thestrongest hand-to-hand fighters in anime. If it wasn’t for Yami showing up right on time, Dante would’ve destroyed the Black Bulls and their base with ease. He was able to send a giant sword through Gauche with little to no effort before Yami arrived.
Dante was able to fight both Asta and Yami very well. He used his Gravity Magic to throw the pair off, and evenunleashed 80% of his total Devil Power while fighting them.He became massive, throwing debris at them while gloating the entire time. He barely loses against them in what is easilyone of the best fights inBlack Clover.Luckily for Dante, his brother Zenon showed up to whisk him away and stab Yami in the back at the same time.
1Julius Novachrono
The Current Wizard King and Only Time Magic User
Julius Novachrono is the only person inBlack Cloverto wield Time Magic,the strongest type of magic that isn’t Anti.His magic type allows him to end battles before his opponents know they’ve begun.
When Patry killed Julius, he used the 13 years in time he’d stored up to resurrect himself. Even after his revival, Julius is incredibly capable on the battlefield. He’s smart, as fast as time itself, and has a mana pool big enough to protect every citizen of the Clover Kingdom against Patry’s evil attack.
