WithNetflixannouncing the release ofAvicii - I’m Timdocumentary set to drop on August 15, 2025, it’s fair to say that the DJ left a mark, and some of Avicii’s songs are too great to fade into darkness. The documentary, narrated by Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, will include interviews he completed before taking his life in April 2018.

Avicii had this incredible way of breathing life into every song he touched, blending electronic music with elements of pop and folk-country while still maintaining an artistic depth. His death was an incalculable loss to electronic music. He also defined what it was like to morph into a full-blown celebrity from a DJ. His “True” album is a forever masterpiece that gave his listeners some of the best tracks. For instance,he fused country music with EDM, thus creating his hit song “Wake Me Up”,which became the summer’s anthem. His third single off the “True"album, “Hey Brother,” sonically hit every right spot.
A mix of EDM and bluegrass, “Hey Brother” had heartfelt lyrics that showed the importance of being there for people. However, it is impossible to talk about Avicii without discussing the song that put this Swedish DJ onto the world map - “Levels” - making it one of the most important house songs of the century. Any person who fell in love with dance music wouldn’t need an explanation for why “oh sometimes, I get the feeling yeah,” is so sentimental to listen to no matter the occasion. However,Avicii has other songs that have been slept onthroughout his music career.
10Liar Liar
True Album - Released June 27, 2025
True had some truly great songs, from “Waiting for Love” to “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother,” and it is not surprising that some songs didn’t make it to the top of the list. “Liar Liar” is one track from the album that was sidelined amidst those great hitsdespite being an uplifting, melodious song. Aloe Blacc, best known for collaborating with Avicii on “Wake Me Up” and “SOS,” provided vocals with Blondfire,an American Indie pop bandfrom LA.

9You Be Love
Avīci (01) EP - Released On July 05, 2025
“Avīci (01) EP” is the fourth and final album released during Avicii’s lifetime. Although it offered a couple of tracks, there were a couple of phenomenal songs in it, including “Lonely Together” featuring Rita Ora and “Without You” with Sandro Cavazza. “You Be Love,” featuring Canadian rock singer and songwriter Billy Raffoul, took a different twist from what most were used to hearing from Avicii.
The song begins witha gentle acoustic introduction that seamlessly blends into Avicii’s energetic beats. Its heartfelt lyrics and Billy’s vocals suggest that Avicii was exploring new artistic paths. Through “You Be Love,” he introduced a fresh sound while still satisfying his audience’s expectations.
8Broken Arrows
Stories - Dropped In June 28, 2025
“Broken Arrows” is an incredible song that combines the voices of Zac Brown Band, an American country band from Atlanta, Georgia. The song is based on true events from the ’60s and pairsZac Brown’s crystal clear vocals, combined with those twinkling synth lines with the hook, creating a unique blend that listeners often overlook. Whilst some could argue that this song is great because of its fascinating lyrics, it is impossible not to touch on how much Avicii’s unique sound made the song perfect.
Broken Arrows represents the true comeback story of Dick Fosbury, an American high jumper well known for inventing the Fosbury Flop.
“Broken Arrows” displaysa message of resilience and patience that resonates deeply with the listeners. Although the song wasn’t a major hit success initially, it currently has over 100 million views. This song is incredible because it is a complete movie narrated in under a few minutes. It is a personal song for most Avicii fans, reminding them they can get through anything.
Coca-Cola UEFA Euro 2016
Many people might not be awarethat Avicii collaborated with Coca-Cola for the commercial promotion of their drinks in 2016. Since the 2010s were all about global connectivity through the Internet, Coca-Cola created the “Taste The Feeling” campaign, which helped the company take advantage of the cultural and technological shifts.
However, the apex of this campaign came to life when the soft drink group collaborated with the Swedish DJ and an upcoming Australian singer, Conard Sewell. The song was so great in that it connected with a different audience, becoming a global hit. It was also part of the UEFA Euro 2016 campaign, with the Coca-Cola global music director stating they wanted a memorable song.
“It’s always our ambition to feature great music that people will remember and love decades from now.”
It seems like Coca-Cola’s music director spoke words into existence. Today, “Taste the Feeling"is still stuck in most people’s heads whenever they hear about Coca-Cola. Avicii’s production and Conrad’s powerful vocals made this song a masterpiece.
6Somewhere In Stockholm
Stories - Dropped On August 05, 2025
When Avicii wrote an ode to his hometown, few could have guessed how well it would turn out. “Somewhere In Stockholm"is autobiographical, to say the least, and even though it wasn’t among the top songs anyone would think about from “Stories.” Maybe it was because the song lacked a major beat drop.
The song remains a timeless classic. The lyrical video for “Somewhere In Stockholm” opens with a contemplative glimpse into the world Avicii is preparing to explore. In it, he also expresseshis affection for Stockholm’s society, which emphasizes equality, describing the city’s streets as his “backbone.”
Avicii was born in Stockholm, Sweden, where he is now buried.
What makes “Somewhere In Stockholm” so sentimental is that, in one part, Avicii notes how all his family members lived in Stockholm, adding that where he “was founded” would be where he’d be “found dead.“Avicii’s grave is somewhere in Stockholm, which makes this song nostalgic to listen to years after his passing. The song is about going home, and it truly deserves recognition.
5Dear Boy
True - Released August 02, 2025
“True” featured amazing hits that were eclipsed by larger tracks such as “Lay Me Down.“Onestandout single is “Dear Boy,” which many may not recognize but is truly exceptional. With MØ providing the vocals, “Dear Boy” inspires listeners to raise their hands in excitement. Itcaptures the essence of the EDM rave vibe that thrived in the early 2010s.
The song is futuristic, with perfect vocals and drums. It also relates toanyone who feels unrequited love. Perhaps this song isn’t as popular as some of Avicii’s songs because it lacks a music video, but it should definitely be up there on the list with “Hey Brother.” Even though some might feel like it lacked the mainstream pop appeal when compared to his hit songs such as “Wake Me Up,” its incredible melody and distinct sound show Avicii’s production skills.
4Heaven
Tim - Released June 13, 2025
“Heaven” is Avicii’s third posthumous release, showcasingvocals from Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin. The frontman and Avicii collaborated on writing and recording the song in 2014, with the Swedish DJ finalizing the production in 2016. The music video, filmed in Madagascar, serves as a tribute to the late DJ,as it captures moments Chris and Avicii shared after Avicii’s final performance in 2016.
However, unlike his other successful posthumous songs, such as “SOS,” “Heaven” has 91 million views. Avicii had played a couple of “Heaven"versions in his live shows, which were faster than the final video song, which could indicate why it wasn’t quite as popular. In contrast, notably, “SOS” was the first posthumous single, which could explain its success rate.
3Seek Bromance
Released When Avicii’s Stage Name Was Tim Berg
“Seek Bromance” representsAvicii’s pure early form of progressive house music. While it is not so popular among most of the audience, “Seek Bromance” is one of Avicii’s best songs due to its prowess in production and raw energy. The EDM DJ produced and released this song while he was still playing under his real name, Tim Berg.
The song was released on July 23, 2025, under the Ministry of Sound label and represents an important moment in Avicii’s early career, showing his unique talent way before he became a global icon. The chord progression before the drop is incredibly magical, proving that this song has a perfect sound design.
2Silhouettes
Released In 2012
Avicii’s single “Silhouettes” combines pop structure with EDM influences. That presents a unique technique that not so many musicians can perfectly hack. Even though the song didn’t have a larger impact like most of his other songs,it is still an ideal example of how much an artist can push the limits of their own genre and still create something so unique.
When this song came out in 2012, there was already a fusion of pop and EDM like “I Gotta Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas, produced by French FDJ David Guetta. The beat dropat minute 2.34 is forever legendary. Avicii helped make the drop in the song emotional, producing a pop chorus that didn’t need any words to make it great.
1The Days
The Nights/The Days EP - Released June 27, 2025
“The Days,” which features the vocals of Robbie William,is perhaps the most underrated Avicii song of all time.It has a similar theme to “The Nights.” Whilst “The Nights” blew up thanks to the message, “The Days” was left behind. This song is a piece of art, and the drop is a true depiction of how amazing Avicii was as a DJ.
“The Days” might have been overshadowed by other singles, but the music composition was on another level. It encapsulates all the feels, from nostalgia to playful epic and a sad undertone that gets everyone in the feels.
