I’m incredibly excited for the near future ofNetflix, as two of the streaming service’s best animated shows will be releasing new seasons incredibly close to each other. While the platform has a lot of fantastic original shows,Netflix’s animated contentis what I am really a fan of, with it having some of the best animated projects that are releasing now. Luckily, two of my favorite Netflix shows have new seasons in the works, and the announcement that both of them will be getting released within only a few months of each other is immensely exciting.
Netflix Geeked Week 2024 has just wrapped up, with it providing tons of information on some of the biggest upcoming shows from the streaming service. Whilethe event did touch on news regarding original programming likeSquid Game,Stranger Things, andWednesday, it also spent a lot of time focusing on Netflix’s many video game adaptation projects. While Geeked Week did see the announcement of new shows likeNetflix’sSplinter Cellanime, it also touched on details regarding upcoming seasons of some already existing shows, such as these two.

ArcaneandCastlevania: Nocturneare two of the best animated shows that Netflix is currently producing, and both of them are releasing new seasons soon on Netflix. Of the two,Arcaneseason 2 will release first, with it having a release date set for November 2024. The first season of the spinoffLeague of Legendsanimated series was a massive hit for the platform, and I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it despite not being a fan of the source material.Season 1 was released in November 2021, so it is nice to finally have moreArcaneafter a three-year wait.

This means that only two months afterArcaneseason 2 drops, new episodes ofCastlevania: Nocturnewill be released, meaning that there will be incredible animated content from Netflix all winter. I am an even biggerCastlevaniafan than I am anArcanefan, so for me,Arcaneseason 2 is only the appetizer to the show that I have been waiting for since I finished season 1. Two fantastic shows in three months is great news, and I can’t wait to see them.
