Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as The Punisher for the upcomingDisney+ seriesDaredevil: Born Again. Though the Defenders Saga seems to be included in the main MCU timeline now, it wasn’t a Marvel Studios production, meaningDaredevil: Born Againwill be the first official appearance by Bernthal in an MCU project. His portrayal of The Punisher is fantastic, and it was smart of Marvel to fold in the same cast from the original series.
It is one of the most important upcoming projects for Marvel as the original superhero family will be making their MCU debut after several decades of failed adaptations.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach also appeared in the Defenders Saga, inThe Punisherseries alongside Bernthal. He won’t be playing the same character, though. Moss-Bachrach is an incredible actor and having him play such an iconic character was an inspired choice from Marvel.
Why Marvel’s 2024 Emmy-Winning Actors Are Such Exciting Additions To The MCU
Jon Bernthal is one of the best actors working today and his Emmy win proves that. He won for his role as Michael inThe Bear, one of the best shows of the decade, for Best Guest Actor in a comedy series.Though Bernthal only shows up sporadically inThe Bear, his scenes are some of the most emotionally impactful, with the actor performing at his peak. Having him back as The Punisher is just icing on top as he had some of the most memorable moments in the entire Defenders Saga.
The Thing’s MCU CGI Addressed By Fantastic Four Actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach: “A Lot Of Motion Capture”
Following The Thing set photos having teased a practical suit, The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Ebon Moss-Bachrach reveals how much CGI is involved.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach won Best Supporting Actor in a comedy series for his turn as Richie inThe Bear. In a lot of ways, Richie is the beating heart ofThe BearandMoss-Bachrach helped turn the character from someone who could be unlikable to a person who’s sympathetic and compelling. His vulnerability as Richie is astounding, and he should be able to bring a lot of those aspects to a character like Ben Grimm. The Thing is a fascinating Marvel character and having Moss-Bachrach on board for him is excellent casting.

The MCU has always attracted incredible actors, since the very beginning when they boldly cast Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Along the way, some of the most prolific actors of all time have joined the fold. Now, the MCU officially has two more award winners after Moss-Bachrach and Bernthal took home some hardware at the 2024 Emmy Awards. They are two profoundly great actors, and theMCUis just that much better for having them on board.
