I know it is an unpopular opinion, but despite her mistreatment of Michael Ilesanmi, I believe90 Day FiancéstarAngela Deem has saved the franchise.Angela from Georgia had already tasted what reality TV is by signing up forMaurywith her daughter Scottie Deem. She knew how to create drama by making mountains out of molehills. Once she became an expert at it,Angela somehow found a boyfriendfrom Nigeria who became her ticket to90 Day Fiancé. I’m sure Angela wanted to be on the show since its 2014 premiere.

Angela may have desperately wanted a foreign boyfriend and knew her luck would change when she met Michael three years later. Michael was the perfect combination of everything she wanted in a reality TV romance. Angela knew the cameras thatfollowed Angela to Nigeriawould love it when she dialed up the drama even when it wasn’t needed. Angela has been referring to herself as the“queen of reality TV”in her recent social media posts. Here’s why I think she’s right.

90 Day Fiancé’s Angela Deem looks down somber, and Michael Ilesanmi is serious.

Angela’s Drama Kept Fans Wanting More

Angela Is A Lethal Entertainment Package

Angela became popular after her90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Daysdebut quickly. To me, she was never a likable character because of her creepy attraction towards a man who was 20 years younger than her, but I always wanted to know what her next move was. I wanted to see Angela, who was flying out of her country for the first time to go to Nigeriadespite calling the country the “scamming capital” of the world, get catfished by Michael. However, Michael turned out to be real, and the romance lasted for seven years.

Angela’s absurd behavior on the show raised eyebrows, but her loud-mouth and unpredictable nature gave the show several cliffhangers that kept me coming back for more. I watched as Michael pushed Angela’s buttons to get a reaction out of her; however, I could see her love for Michael was real. She even expressed it right by showering him with gifts and words of love. However, whenever she found out Michael lied to her about something,Angela became the crass and loud personwe have all come to dislike.

There was something about Angela being with Michael that turned her into a monster. I want to see if she will behave the same way with the next person she dates. I also think Angela knew her ridiculous scenes got viewers and kept her relevant. I believe Angela dialed up the drama and screamed more and more to “entertain.” She didn’t care if it gave her a bad name. Any publicity is good as long as the network keeps signing her up for more shows.

Angela’s Lines On The Show Are Still Quotable

Angela Is Iconic For A Reason

One cannot really think of90 Day Fiancé’s most iconic cast members and not think of Angela, however hard they might try. One of the main reasons is the many iconic lines Angela has said on the show. They came from her heart and made Angela the queen of reality TV. On the top of my head,I can think of “I can tote it,”which is what Angela said when she wanted an egg from her daughter so she could get pregnant. Another favorite of mine is “Obey what…obey who?” from her wedding day.

Angela Is Getting Attention Despite Firing Rumors

Everyone Wants To Know If Angela Has Finally Been Fired

Angela spoiled her entire90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?season 8 storyline weeks in advance when she revealed Michael was missing. Angela ended up telling fans that Michael was in the U.S. The biggest thing about Michael and Angela’s90 Day Fiancérelationship was his American visa, and his disappearance made Angela revealwhat fans like me had wanted to hear for years. Since Angela did this, rumors began to swirl that she was getting fired for breaking her NDA.

If Angela Is Hated, Who Are The Fans Paying To Meet Her?

Angela has been making a living by doing fan meets these days. The90 Day Fiancéstar often flies to Canada to see her fans and spends time with them singing and dancing. What surprises me is howAngelamanages to pull such huge crowds if she is so hated. Perhaps it’s only a certain section of fans online who don’t like her, and she has a massive following among TV audiences who don’t discuss her antics online.Angela’s 821k followers on Instagramare proof of her popularity.
