Several new enemy types were added withGenshin Impact5.0’s Natlan region, from regular overworld opponents to creatures, elite enemies, and bosses. The new enemies in Natlan accompany the release of the first part of the Nation of Pyro. Not only does Natlan provide a new landscape to explore and traverse, aided by the help of the various Saurian types but also new challenges for thenewGenshin Impact5.0 charactersto face in combat. New enemy groups are not new and a few are introduced with every new major Nation release, but Natlan offers a wide variety of opponents.

These new enemies come in various shapes and forms, all reflecting the different style provided by the nation of Pyro. The humanoid enemies in Natlan, for instance, carry elements that represent their adoration of the several Saurian types in the area. The area also carries the legacy of Fontaine and offers a wide breadth of animal types, from smaller beetles to towering beasts that resemble dinosaurs. There are many new enemy types that have been added with the update, and that is notable upon giving the first steps intoNatlan inGenshin Impact5.0.

5New Human Enemies In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Region

Sauroform Tribal Warriors Revere Saurians

The human enemies in Natlan are some of the most common and widespread opponents that players will face as they explore the Nation of Pyro. The humanoids here are all tribal warriors that compose a single enemy faction called Sauroform Tribal Warriors. Like the Eremites from the Sumeru region, for example, the Sauroform Tribal Warriors come in many different shapes and forms, especially considering which type of Sauron they revere. The Forged Sand Interrogator, Forged Sand Shieldbreaker, and Forged Sand Javelineer are all lesser enemies that worship the Tepetlisauri inGenshin Impact, for example.

On the other hand, the Tepetlisaurus Warrior: Rockbreaker Blade is a stronger type of enemy among this group. These enemies carry apparel and weaponry that resembles the hardened scales of the Tepetlisauri and even behave in similar ways during combat. Alternatively, the Flowing Blade enemies and the Koholasaurus Warrior: Waveshuttler, for instance, revere the Koholasauriand take on its elements both into their clothing and combat style. Each type of Saurian in the game, which are currently three, has a dedicated group of humanoid enemies that fight in their name – in addition to the peacefultribes inGenshin Impact.

Natlan will continue to expand within the next few updates and leaks indicate more tribes and Saurian types are coming with the patches. This may meannew groups of enemies will be added to help build the larger Sauroform Tribal Warriors faction. It is uncertain if all elements will have a respective Saurian and if each Saurian will bring forth a new enemy group, but given the diversity of the Eremites before them, it is quite likely the variety and number of Sauroform Tribal Warrior enemies will grow.

All these Sauroform Tribal Warriors drop Sentry’s Wooden Whistle, Warrior’s Metal Whistle, and Saurian-Crowned Warrior’s Golden Whistle, which are Kachina’s andMualani’s Ascension materials inGenshin Impact.

4New Saurian Enemies In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Region

There Are Three Types Of Saurians In Version 5.0

While they are mostly seen as allies and possible mounts via the Saurian Indwelling process, wild Saurians and those affiliated with Sauroform Tribal Warriors are a new enemy type in the game. As of Version 5.0, the patch that introduced Natlan, only three types of Saurian have been seen: Tepetlisaurus, Yumkasaurus, and Koholasaurus. These three creature types represent the Geo, Dendro, and Hydro elements, respectively. In battle, these Saurian enemies will use the abilities that they normally do when players are controlling them for exploration. The Tepetlisauri, for instance, will occasionally burrow underground and strike the player inGenshin Impact.

The Yumkasauri will often use their grappling tongue to move across the fighting grounds, in addition to trying to slam the player’s active character with its tail attack. Lastly, the Koholasauri will try to quickly dash into the player, though they are a lot less mobile on the ground than they are in the water. This makes them much more vulnerable in combat when compared to the other two creature types. After being defeated, the Saurian enemy types in Natlan all drop Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang, enhancement materials used for both weapons and characters inGenshin Impact.

Despite their special status among the lore of the region of Natlan,Saurians are not particularly difficult to beat and are treated as common enemies– often, they feel weaker than the stronger Sauroform Tribal Warrior enemies in the game. As is the case with their humanoid allies, it is likely that new Saurian types will be added to the game as Natlan expands, meaning not only new possibilities when it comes to Saurian Indwelling, but new Saurian enemies to integrate the larger Saurian faction inGenshin Impact.

Five new free and craftable weapons have been added to Genshin Impact 5.0’s Natlan region, and each of them is spectacular in its own way.

3New Elite Enemies In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Region

Local Legends In Nightsoul Totems Can Be Difficult Encounters In Version 5.0

In addition to the previously mentioned common enemies, Version 5.0 also introduced a few elite enemies in Natlan. These stronger creatures come in various shapes and forms and can be found both in the overworld and as Local Legends in special Nightsoul Totems placed in specific locations in the Nation of Pyro. The overworld elite enemies are a stronger bunch, such as the Avatars of Lava, Wayob Manifestations, and the Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seeker. Some of these can be found in specific locations and, despite being elite enemies inGenshin Impact, they are not particularly hard to beat.

These enemies drop elite weapon enhancement materials.

There are also some elite versions of animals, Sauroform Tribal Warriors, and even Fatui Agents that are enhanced across Natlan. These, however, pale in comparison to the stronger enemy types locked behind the Nightsoul Totems. These obsidian totems can be found in specific locations in the Nation of Pyro and interacting with them takes the player to a special isolated arena. The enemies within Nightsoul Totems are Local Legends and they have special gameplay mechanics– Chimalli’s Shade – Will of Shields Horned is an enhanced version of the Flow-Inverted Wayob Manifestation inGenshin Impact.

To beat this creature, players are almost required to use a Cryo character, whereas its regular version can easily be defeated with any type of team comp. Each of these trials offered by Nightsoul Totems carries a principle in mind, soplayers will have to accordingly change their team comps and overall strategy to adapt to the circumstances. These are much tougher than mostboss fights inGenshin Impact, too, so they should make sure they use foods to gain extra buffs on top of those provided by their characters.

2New Wildlife In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Region

A Wide Variety Of Animals Has Been Added In Version 5.0

Aside from actual enemies, Version 5.0 also introduced a widespread variety of new animals, all of which can be fought. The local wildlife in Natlan is rich and this goes from small Crystal Beetles and new bird types to the towering Long-Necked Rhino. There are many new beasts, birds, and critters in the Nation of Pyro, and most of them can be defeated – even though they do not provide much of a challenge in combat. In Natlan, players can encounter creatures like Capybaras, most of which are peaceful and will flee once they see the player inGenshin Impact.

Alpacas can be seen as beasts of burden by several nomad Sauroform Tribal Warriors, so it is quite common for these otherwise peaceful animals to be caught in the fray when initiating a fight with the humanoid enemies in Natlan. In a sense, they are much like the Sumpter Beasts accompanying the Eremite enemies in the region of Sumeru, though much less aggressive.Like all wildlife, defeating beasts drop meat and Mora, while birds drop Fowl. Critters in Natlan drop diverse types of items and the aforementioned Crystal Beetles, for example, replenish the Phlogiston meter inGenshin Impact.

In Natlan, players can also encounter the Long-Necked Rhino, a massive creature with a long neck that fits its name. These peaceful creatures roam the Nation of Pyro and are very peaceful. If players approach, they often do not react, but will attempt to stomp the active character if they are attacked. Long-Necked Rhinos are a curious case, as attacking them will not deal any damage and they are impossible to beat so far. As Natlan’s map and biomes expand with future updates, more wildlife may be added toGenshin Impact.

1New Bosses In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Region

Two New World Bosses Were Added In Version 5.0

In Version 5.0, two new boss opponents were introduced. These overworld bosses can be found in dedicated caves in Natlan. The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King is an overgrown Yumkausaurus who got stuck in a cave and ate too many Flamegranates. This creature uses Dendro attacks and takes advantage of Flamegranates’ explosive nature to hurl them at players –players can counter this special attack by setting the Flamegranate ablaze with a Pyro attack, which will then cause it to explode inside the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King’s mouth.

The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King is not a difficult boss to beat, especially if players are using a powerful Pyro team – such as the ones led byArlecchino inGenshin Impact. However, as is the case with any boss fight, players need to be ready to dodge its powerful attacks. The other overworld boss in Natlan, added with Version 5.0, is called Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant. This boss is a flying Saurian and serves as a preview of the future Qucusauri, though on a much larger scale.

In combat, the boss flies upward and starts gathering energy while protected by a shield. Meanwhile, a Flamewind Feather will be thrown into the arena as a flamewind strikes the area. The Flamewind Feather should be destroyed to bring the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant back to the ground – the key to destroying it is using elements that react with Pyro. Like the previous boss, the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is not a difficult enemy to beat. However, players need to follow the fight’s mechanics to succeed if they are incapable of beating the boss inGenshin Impactbefore it triggers them.
