It’s time for thePlayStationState of Play in February 2025, which means more gaming news, exciting reveals, and some great updates for players on PS5. The event included a few new reveals, lots of new gameplay and trailers,and one game that’s dropping today, Feb 13. While players may not have gottenBloodbornenews, there were a lot of other exciting things to see.
There were a lot ofpredictions for today’s State of Play, but many were surprised by some of the reveals that appeared during the show. While plenty were hoping for updates on games like Naughty Dog’sIntergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, others were hoping forMarvel’s Wolverine. While fans of these two may be disappointed to hear neither appeared, there were big updates for several games. We also saw a big reveal at the end for a new game,and some DLC announcements for older games.

It will also be getting its own State of Play this spring, where more gameplay and details will be announced.

In a franchise where release dates aren’t often given, this was a pleasant surprise. Fans were also treated to official announcements for theLies of P: OvertureDLC, theStellar Blade: Goddess of Victory NikkeDLC, and theDave the DiverDLC, which is a crossover with the upcomingLike A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaiigame.

Warriors: Abysswas announced andwill be a surprise drop later today as a new entry in the franchise. Players can jump on it today, which was perhaps the biggest announcement of the day. However,Directive 2080, the new Supermassive Games' entry that was teased at the end of the last game also got a new trailer.Saroswas the last announcement of the day, which is a new entry for the developers ofReturnaland will be dropping in 2026.
