Hiro Kanagawa As Oda Nobungada

You Might Know Him As Fire Lord Sozin From The 2024 Avatar Series

Though his role in the game industry is limited to theMobile Suit Gundamfranchise, Hiro Kanagawa’s TV and film pedigree make him an excellent choice for the role of warlord Oda Nobungada. He played the stoic role of Fire Lord Sozin in the 2024 TV seriesAvatar: The Last Airbenderand was also a recurring character iniZombie, though not at the same time as hisShadowscompanion Chirisa. For thosePercy Jacksonfans, you’ll recognize him from the role of Kronos, a role to which he is likely to return now thatPJOhas been green-lit for its second season.

No matter where you know him from, Kanagawa brings a powerful performance to his role of Oda Nobungada inAC Shadows, and with good reason. Nobungada was a fearsome daimyo(a feudal lord subordinate to the emperor and shogun) with a reputation for brutal military campaigns to crush anyone not in recognition of his authority. It’s the outcome of one such campaign that kicks off Naoe’s story, and Nobungada’s influence in the conflict is clear even when not directly involved.
