WithArcaneset to return for its second and final season in November, there are plenty of characters who may not survive until the end, but I’m already worried about two central heroes. After the confirmation thatArcaneseason 2 would be ending theLeague of Legendsadaptation, the show’s return became even more anticipated, and I’m curious to see how the story concludes. While Jinx vs. Vi’s long-running feud is the main selling point, Piltover and Zaun’s upcoming war is also incredibly interesting and will have huge ramifications for the entire supporting cast.

Additionally,Arcaneseason 2 will likely add moreLeague of Legendscharactersto the show, meaning the action and drama will get even bigger. All these factors make it hard to predict who will make it out of the series alive, especially as it’s unclear how muchArcanewill change the source material. However, despite being prepared for some big losses in season 2, I’m worried two key characters may not even make it to episode 1. With last season’s finale alluding to some major deaths,I’m becoming increasingly concerned that two fan favorites may already be gone.

Both Characters Failed To Appear In The Official Trailer Despite Their Huge Roles In Season 1

Arcaneseason 2’s trailer revealed a lot of the upcoming story, but despite some huge teases, Jayce and Viktor were nowhere to be seen. Given how important both characters were in the first season, their absence is definitely strange, and I’m starting to think the show may pull a curveball by having them die before the next outing begins. Jinx’s assault on the Piltover Council duringArcaneseason 1’s endingis the driving force behind the upcoming plot, as her rocket launcher seemed to cause several fatalities; however, the victims of her deadly attack haven’t been revealed.

I’m Confident This Arcane Season 2 Fight Will Be Even Better Than Jinx vs. Ekko

Jinx vs Ekko has easily been Arcane’s greatest fight so far, but I’m confident that one upcoming battle in season 2 will be even better.

While it’s implied that everyone in the council meeting was killed, fans naturally assumed Jayce and Viktor survived given they are an integral part of the show. I also expected them to be back, but considering the teaser didn’t even hint that they could still be alive, I’m beginning to have my doubts.Caitlyn’s dark story inArcaneseason 2seemed like it stemmed from her mother being one of the victims, but given she also had a close relationship with Jayce, this could be an even deeper motivation for the Enforcer wanting revenge.

Killing off both Jayce and Viktor during this attack would be an extremely bold decision, but it would also set the tone for how bleakArcaneseason 2 looks to be. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until November to find out whether the show really has opted to explore such a shocking storyline, but the duo’s absence in the trailer definitely has me worried about their fate.

Viktor & Jayce Haven’t Appeared In Any Of Season 2’s Promotional Material

Arcane Have Been Intentionally Quiet About The Duo’s Season 2 Involvement

Alongside their absence in the trailer,Jayce and Viktor haven’t appeared in any of the promotional material for season 2, making me even more concerned. The show has released numerous trailers, teasers, clips, and character posters, yet none of them have alluded to either character surviving. Naturally, fans may assume the likes of Mel and Cassandra will die during the attack, as they’re strong supporting characters whose deaths would massively impact the more central cast. However, deciding to kill off Jayce and Viktor in the process would be unexpected, yet it seems probable given season 2’s evidence so far.

Predicting whether Jayce and Viktor are really gone is tough, but the show is clearly keeping the subject a mystery intentionally.

It’s also possible the duo are still alive andArcaneis just keeping their survival a secret, hence why neither character has appeared in any season 2 footage. Still, I’d assume at least one of them would have been teased or hinted at to add a bit of hope for fans of the characters. Given the endlesspossibilities of how Arcane season 2’s storycould play out, predicting whether Jayce and Viktor are really gone is tough, but the show is clearly keeping the subject a mystery intentionally, and I’ll remain hopeful that their story isn’t quite finished yet.

I Hope Jayce & Viktor Are Still Alive In Arcane

Jayce & Viktor Are Great Characters Who Would Help Improve Season 2

Jayce and Viktor are amongArcane’s best characters, and I hope they’re still alive in season 2 as they could add a lot of value to the story. Although he can be overambitious, Jayce is the sort of figure the war needs for it to end somewhat peacefully, and I think keeping him alive would be the show’s best chance at having a happy ending. While the attack may force him to get involved in the fighting and become more like hisLeague of Legendscharacter, I still think he’d be a compelling part of season 2, as would Viktor.

Viktor’s survival would also allow him to transition towards hisLeague of Legendspersonality, which is entirely different from what we’ve seen in the show. His obsession with “Glorious Revolution” could see him become even more reliant on the hexcore and begin turning into the more chaotic and unhinged character seen in the game, which would be a compelling arc. Having the duo show up next season would likely put them on opposite sides of the war with completely contrasting goals, and seeing how they fit intoArcane’s upcoming story is something I’m desperate to see.
