The Next Avengers Movie Shifts Again

Doctor Strange’sAvengers: Doomsdaycasting saga is quite interesting. When Cumberbatch revealed that he would not be in the next Avengers movie, the actor said thatthe move was related to “the character not aligning with this part of the story.“That does not sound like the kind of thing one would backtrack on just a week later. It is unlikely thatAvengers: Doomsday’s script changed in such a major way that a big character like Doctor Strange was suddenly put back into the script in such a short time.

Due to that, there is a chance that Cumberbatch is simply doing damage control. Doctor Strange could still be out ofAvengers: Doomsday, but the actor is now trying to keep the mystery of the character’s situation. However, there is also another avenue of thought for Cumberbatch’s MCU comments.Doctor Strange might only appear in a post-credits scene inAvengers: Doomsday. This would be in line with the star’s comments about how the character did not align with the movie’s story but would have a big role inAvengers: Secret Wars. That way, Strange’s important future could be teased.

Our Take On Benedict Cumberbatch’s New Doctor Strange Avengers: Doomsday Comments

The Next Avengers Film Just Got More Exciting

I was disappointed when I heard Doctor Strange would not be inAvengers: Doomsday. Due to his multiverse experience and how well Strange bounced off other heroes in the last two Avengers movies, I hopedhe would not only appear but also lead the team. With Benedict Cumberbatch now claiming that Strange will show up in the film despite what he previously said, I think my dream scenario for the character could still happen. That said, I don’t fully believe the actor just yet, and Doctor Strange only appearing in a post-credits scene inAvengers: Doomsdaycould very well happen.
