The Untimely End mission inAvowedrequires you to reach the Watcher, but there is a troublesome obstacle in your way where normal means you can’t reach it. The location of the Watcher is marked plainly and simply on your map, making it easy to find by merely following the objective. However, the fallen bridge over the water means you can’t walk over to the other side and finish your journey.

Afterward, one of the unique weapons,Drawn in Winter, will appear on a platform that is available for you to grab. A bunch of enemies will appear for you to fight off first, but then you will be free to resume the main story quest by heading back to the lake. It isn’t one of thebest weapons inAvowed,but it’s still effective.
How To Use Use “Drawn In Winter” To Get Across The Lake
Just Keep Swinging
To get across the lake now you have Drawn in Winter,swing the axe right toward the water. If close enough, the water will freeze in sections, and you and your companions will get across. The rest of the journey to the Watcher is straightforward, from what I found in my playthrough. Just walk toward the location marked with the arrow, and you will soon find yourself in front of the Watcher’s house.
If you swing Drawn in Winter and the water isn’t freezing, shift your camera angle lower so the axe will swing closer to it.
There will be a Perturbed Patron right by the house you can talk to, and he will give you a coin to put in the pond after your reading. The Watcher will then be found inside the house for your reading, whatever you decide. As long as you have an ice-enchanted weapon or spell, you can cross watery obstacles inAvowedto find your way to other hard-to-reach spots.
