WithinBlack Myth: Wukong’ssix chapters, players will face over 100 mandatory, optional, and secret bosses. Chapter 3’s optional bosses include mini-bosses known as non-bosses. Non-Pure is one of these optional mini-bosses. A disciple of Yellowbrow, Chapter 3’s final boss, Non-Pure is a formidable foe. Though optional,Non-Pure gives decent rewardsthat make tackling this boss well worth it.
Players looking to challenge Non-Pure should plan accordingly, as this mini-boss can easily overwhelm anyone in battle. Knowing where to find him is just step one, but players should alsounderstand his attack patternto be better prepared for their fight. Whether you’re challenging him to claim his rewards or for practice before taking on the more difficult Yellowbrow, this guide will help you come up with the right strategy.

How To Find Black Myth: Wukong’s Non-Pure Boss
Unlock Mahavira Hall Shrine For Easy Fast Travel In Case Of Defeat
Those nearing the end of Chapter 3 ofBlack Myth: Wukongwill eventually come tothe New Thunderclap Temple. This temple is home to the final boss, Yellowbrow, and his four disciples. The last disciple you’ll meet before encountering Yellowbrow is Non-Pure. As mentioned previously, he is optional, but I do recommend challenging Non-Pure for the rewards, whichincludes the Non-Pure Spirit.
Non-Pure’s location isn’t hard to find. Head to theMahavira Hall Keeper Shrinefirst to unlock it so that it will act as a fast-travel later on in case you lose to Non-Pure. Then, head downstairs to the temple. You’ll meet two monks. You can either fight these monks or bypass them by heading straight to the temple and up the stairs. Inside the temple is where you’ll find Non-Pure.

Craft and equip armorand thebest staff you havebefore entering the temple to verify you’re prepared for this battle.
How To Beat The Non-Pure Boss
Challenge This Optional Boss And Reap Great Rewards
Though small and round in size, Non-Pure isan aggressive foeinBlack Myth: Wukongwith a few good attacks. Still, he isn’t thehardest boss to beat. He wields an ax and isn’t afraid to use it. I didn’t do much to prepare against Non-Pure and came out fine. I watched and learned about his attacks so that I could counter them properly, but other than that, it wasall about immobilizing. He has four attacks:
Non-Pure raises his ax and slams it toward you.

Punch and Ax Swing
At close range, Non-Pure punches and swings his ax at you.
Non-Pure knocks you back with an energy push.
Spinning Ax Attack
Non-Pure unleashes a spinning attack with his ax after being pressured in close range
These attacks are relatively easy to predict and dodge. Most require movement of Non-Pure’s arms, so justwatch his arms and dodge when you see him charging up his attacks.A Pluck of Manyis a great spell to start with, allowing your duplicates to initiate the fight and cause a distraction.
Follow up withImmobilizeto freeze Non-Pure in his tracks. Once frozen, usewhatever spells you wantto, but I would recommend using charged or combo attacks that deal heavy damage in quick succession. Watch for his combo, whichinvolves long sweeping swings, as these are harder to dodge. You can watch the YouTube video fromEsoterickkabove to get a good idea of Non-Pure’s attack patterns.
All Black Myth: Wukong Spells, Ranked
Some spell options in Black Myth: Wukong are absolute essentials for combat mastery, while others are fun but remain fairly easy to live without.
Non-Pure’s gauntlet lets him occasionallydeflect your attackswhen infused with power. To tell when this is happening, his glove and tattoo will glow. Attacking him when this happens will be a waste of effort, so focus on dodging any incoming attacks and wait until the glow subsides. Refrain from attacking him during this time, as he may counter you with a stun. If you’re stunned, this gives Non-Pure time to attack you without you being able to dodge. Hisattacks are fast and can deal significant damageif you aren’t careful.
Use theDestined One’s Transformation Spellsas needed.Ashen Slumberis a great Transformation Spell for crowd control. Plus, it’ll deal some good damage, too. The good thing about using Transformation Spells against Non-Pure is thathis deflect isn’t great at stopping them. So, if he’s currently in deflect mode, switch to using Transformations.
Chapter 3’s last Meditation Spot is located in the same room as Non-Pure, so make sure to activate it before leaving the room.
Attacking with A Pluck of Many, Immobilize, and your Transformations should be enough to easily take down Non-Pure. Once defeated, you canabsorb his spirit, Non-Pure Spirit. Don’t forget to claim his other rewards:
The Non-Pure Spirit is a good spirit to have in your arsenal. When equipped, The Destined One will take Non-Pure’s form andunleash a swinging ax attack. The attack itself deals an impressive amount of damage, but the equipped effect makes it even better as it increases damage reduction after performing Rock Solid. Pairing Rock Solid with the Non-Pure Spirit is a great combination inBlack Myth: Wukong, so fighting and beating Non-Pure to obtain his Spirit is a good move.
