Moon Knight#18 by Jed MacKay, Federico Sabbatini, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Cory Petit

Vampires are incredibly dangerous enemies, and one usually needs specialized training and equipment to bring them down. This burden often falls on the shoulders of Blade, who is a dhampir and Marvel’s foremost vampire hunter. Because of his dhampir physiology,Blade has all the strength of a vampire but none of the weaknesses. He’s even capable of walking through sunlight with no negative effects. He’s been hunting vampires for decades, and he’s excellent at it, butMoon Knight has one major advantage over himthat Blade simply can’t compete with.

Moon Knight Makes History By Making One of Marvel’s Gnarliest Villains Bleed

Moon Knight just got the upgrade of his life in Marvel Comics, and with his newfound power, he made the gnarliest villain in the universe bleed.

WhileMoon Knightdoesn’t typically carry weapons specifically for killing vampires like Blade does,Moon Knight has one inherent ability that makes him far more dangerous to vampires: he is a priest of Khonshu, which means that it’s fully within his power to consecrate just about anything. He demonstrated this power best when he set off the fire prevention system in a room full of vampires. After the water had drenched everyone, Moon Knight then consecrated it, transforming it into holy water, which immediately ignited the vampires. With just a few words, Moon Knight killed a room full of vampires.

Moon Knight Transforms Regular Water Into Holy Water

Moon Knight Only Needs a Few Words to Win Against a Vampire

Whereas Blade Would Have Needed an Entire Arsenal

The ability to bless things on the fly is an incredible advantage over vampires. Moon Knight canturn any body of water into deadly holy water. It’s important to note the detail that Moon Knight blessed the water from the sprinkler system only afterhe had it unleashed. Theoretically, he could carry around a water gun, spray a vampire, and then bless the water to turn it deadly. That’s a pretty incredible trick that would work on just about any vampire, and Blade simply can’t match it.

It’s rarely brought up, but Moon Knight has a divine mission to slaughter any evil vampires that he comes across, and he has the power to do so easily.
