During an appearance on theTrading Spaces Podcast,Chock reflected on his time filmingThe Golden Bacheloretteand opened up about what viewers didn’t see. While the cameras captured the “bromance” that formed between Joan’s suitors, behind-the-scenes, they had bonded with each other so much more than anyone knew. “Jordan [Heller] and I called it free group therapy,” Chock said. “If there was a one-on-one date, you had the whole day just to spend with the guys.”

The living quarters in the mansion were set up as bunk rooms, andChock’s roommates were Michael Stevens, Charles Ling, Gary Levingston and Guy Gansert, so they really had the chance to learn “a little bit of their habits and those types of things.” Also, Chock and the other men tended to wake up early because “we’re a little bit older”; as a result, they had a couple hours to spare before filming something, so they all gravitated to each other and just spent time talking to one another. “So it was a great way to get to know the fellow contestants,” Chock finished.
