AMarvel Cinematic Universestar has a specific idea to bring back Chris Evans for a newCaptain Americaproject. Evans last played Steve Rogers in 2019’sAvengers: Endgame, which was the final movie in his MCU streak as Captain America, as Evans appeared in at least one film a year from 2011 to 2019 as Cap. While Marvel Studios now adds a new lead to theCaptain America franchise— Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson stars in next year’sCaptain America: Brave New World— Evans recently returned to the MCU as a version of Johnny Storm inDeadpool & Wolverine.
At Edmonton ExpoVia (via@HollywoodHandle/Twitter),Red Skull actor Ross Marquand revealed that he continues to pitch to Marvel the idea of a Captain America project about him returning the Infinity Stones as a Disney+ series.

The concept is extremely popular with fans, being requested as a possible new story for Evans as Captain America sinceAvengers: Endgamewas released. Despite rumors about Evans signing on forfuture MCU projects, which the MCU star debunked later, or that Marvel was working on the concept Marquand pitched, no official announcements have been made about Evans returning as Steve Rogers.
What Ross Marquand’s Captain America Series Comments Could Mean?
The MCU Star Has Been Pushing For The Concept For Some Time
This is not the first time that Marquand has spoken about a project with Evans' Captain America returning the Infinity Stones. AtAwesome-Con Onlinein 2020, the Red Skull actor revealed that he thought the idea of Captain America going back in time to return each of the Infinity Stones could lead to an interesting project, At the time, Marquand believed that could be a movie, saying, “I also thought it would be really interesting to make a standalone movie with Cap returning all the stones.”
Captain America’s 10 Most Rewatchable MCU Scenes
Captain America has been at the center of some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most rewatchable scenes, providing action and gripping story beats.
Interestingly, the Red Skull actor only mentioned the idea as being a concept with potential in 2020. However, Marquand has now talked about pitching the project to Marvel as a Disney+ series. WithCaptain America: Brave New World, which stars Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, set to be released in the next year, a new Captain America film with Evans as Steve Rogers is unlikely. That could have led to Marquand’s pivot to a series for the project. With Evans back in the MCU forDeadpool & Wolverineas Johnny Storm, a possible Captain America return becomes more possible.

Our Take On A Possible Chris Evans Captain America Series
More Evans As Captain America Will Always Be A Good Thing
I would love to see Marquand’s idea come to life. A limited series that follows Steve Rogers putting each of the six Infinity Stones back where the Avengers took them from would be epic. This way, Evans' Captain America return could happen in a contained nature, allowing Mackie’s Sam Wilson not to face any competition for the spotlight in the movies, cementing himself as the MCU’s new Captain America. It is interesting to see that Marvel’s Red Skull actor has pitched the idea for the series, increasing hope that Evans will return asCaptain America.
Captain America
TheCaptain Americafranchise is a crucial pillar of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), chronicling the journey of Steve Rogers, a frail young man transformed into the super-soldier Captain America during World War II. The franchise follows his battles against HYDRA, his adaptation to modern times, and his leadership in the Avengers. The trilogy is praised for its political intrigue, character development, and significant contributions to the overarching MCU narrative.
