Christopher Nolanwill shoot his next movie with “never-before-used” IMAX technology. The director – known for visionary blockbusters such asThe Dark Knighttrilogy,Inception,Interstellar,Dunkirk, andOppenheimer– has pioneered IMAX filming technology since early in his career. Earlier this month, it was reported thatChristopher Nolan’s next moviewill star Matt Damon and Tom Holland, start filming in early 2025, and be released in IMAX, as have many of his past movies.
Now, during a quarterly earnings call (viaVariety), IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond revealed thatNolan will shoot his new movie with “never-before-used” IMAX technology. Gelfond added that their teams have been developing this technology over the past year. Read his full comments below:
