How Can Batman Beat Bane: Anti-Venom Batarangs

Batman and Robin#11 by Joshua Williamson, Juan Ferreyra, Steve Wands

Bane is one of the most physically powerful villains that Batman regularly goes up against. This was first proven during the iconic moment inKnightfallwhenBane easily broke Batman’s backwith a vicious attack. That’s the kind of physical strength that Batman definitely doesn’t want to get within grabbing range of. But for several decades, the go-to way to defeat Bane has been to either overpower him somehow, or cut the tubes that supply his Venom. Neither of these is ideal, and now Batman finally has a better option.

It’s honestly surprising that it tookthislong for the idea of Batman having a cure for Venom on hand to appear in comics like this.

Batman claims that he’s created Batarangs that are laced with anti-Venom, meaning all Batman has to do is toss a Batarang and Bane, and he’ll suddenly lose his enhanced strength. This would remove the thing that makes Bane an immediate physical threat, and the best part is how Batman could do it from a distance. It’s honestly surprising that it tookthislong for the idea of Batman having a cure for Venom on hand to appear in comics like this. This simple contingency plan would change Bane from one of Batman’s most dangerous villains to little more than an annoyance.

Bane’s Strength Has Always Made Him An Imposing Enemy

It’s a well-known joke among fans that if Batman is given enough preparation time, he could devise a way to defeat anyone. He’s managed to come up with plans for the likes of Flash, Wonder Woman, and even Superman. But characters like Bane usually devolve into just hitting him harder. This one ingenious change to Batman’s most iconic gadget changesBanefrom someone with a massive physical advantage over Batman, to someone thatBatmancan fight evenly.
