Nevertheless, it appears the prequel series will be framed as Dexter seeing his “life flash before his eyes.”

Dexter: Original Sin will show Dexter’s earliest kills, but the franchise has already revealed six of his earliest victims and how he killed them.
Tackling Dexter’s origin story,the trailer teases the origins of the code, a set of rules designed by Harry (and Dr. Evelyn Vogel) to help him harness his dark passenger and kill those who have escaped justice, while also keeping himself from getting caught. To hone his skills, a young Dexter begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department, introducing several characters from the original series played by younger actors.
