Part of the free “Sew Delightful” update toDisney Dreamlight Valleyincluded the addition of floating islands to the game, giving players extra space for decorating and spreading out. This has already been a big help to players, as the cozy game has been regularly adding more and more characters and content, which has made the main valley feel a bit cramped at times. Thankfully, these islands have been added for everyone as a free update to the base game, regardless of whether someone has purchased DLC or not.

Afterunlocking these floating islands, players may find themselves left with a bit of a conundrum of what to do with this extra space. Reddit userJVNTrecently posted a stunning example of how theyused the area to create what they have dubbed Storage Island.

This beautifully decorated area is much more than just pleasing to the eye, buttruly is a space of incredible organizationfor pretty much anything that a player could need. Many players acrossDDVsocial media have been sharing their uses of the islands for storage as well, but JVNT’s artistic approach to it takes this trend a step further.

Using A Floating Island For Storage Puts Everything In One Spot

And Provides More Space For Decorating Below

Dreamlight Valley’s update gives four floating islandsin four different biome themes, and are designed to be used however a player would like, even placing some of the villager’s homes up in the sky if desired. Theability for players to fast-travel to any of them, similar to how players can reach unlocked expansion areas, lets them be easily accessed no matter where a player is spending their time in the game.

Is It Too Late To Start Playing Disney Dreamlight Valley? My Thoughts As A Complete Beginner

Is it too late for a complete beginner like me to get into Disney Dreamlight Valley without getting overwhelmed with everything there is to do?

Many of the quests in the game, or even just giving gifts to valley residents, requireeasy access to a large variety of materials and resources, far too many for a player to always keep in their backpack. Having a space to put everything has been a big problem for many players, with some using rooms of their house dedicated to these materials, and others making various chests all over their game.

Therefore, keeping everything on one floating island can be a game-changer for some, saving a lot of time that could have been taken to run around and find where everything is. Even just emptying the player character’s bags is more efficient, knowing right where to go to ensure everything is orderly.

Our Take: Making A Storage Island This Pretty Still Takes A Lot Of Skill

What makes JVNT’s post even more impressive is the attention to detail that must have been required to create such a beautiful space as they have done. Decorating inDDVis fun, but can also beincredibly time-consuming and truly does need at least a bit of artistic talentto make it look good. AsApartmentAgitated628commented in the post, not everyone has the same level of decorating and organizing skills as JVNT.

Personally, I am also using a floating island for storage, but it doesn’t look anywhere near as nice as JVNT’s. Their post has inspired me to go back and clean it up, and maybe even borrow some of the ideas they used to put in my personal game ofDisney Dreamlight Valley.
