Continuing its celebration of “The Year of Eevee,“Pokémonhas been brought to the forefront by eBay to bring fans an Eevee-themed “Evolving Shop” for Pokémon Day. Every year,Pokémonholds a celebration on February 27, and this year it centered around the popular multi-evolution Eevee. As part of this annual event, eBay has created an independent initiative to celebrate all thingsPokémon,bringing some incredible collectible merch to fans who visit the store and bid on the auctions.
Auctions will take place over the course of three days in the officialEvolving Shopon eBay.The shop will include popular and collectible items fromPokémonhistory,including rare trading cards, plushies, and other merch. All auctions will start at just 9 cents and all items up for grabs will feature Eevee or one of its evolutions.
What To Expect From eBay’s Evolving Shop
Will Auction Off Moonbreon, Fan Club Eevee, And Other Valuable TCG Finds
The Evolving Shop willfocus entirely on selling merch featuring Eevee and its numerous evolutions. Each auction will give fans a chance to acquire some highly desirable, rare Eevee-themedPokémoncards. Ninepopular cards will be put up for auctionduring the special event, featuring Eevee and each of its eight evolutions.

Being Pokemon’s mascot, Pikachu is the focus for several plushes in The Pokemon Center, most of which are adorable and sell out quickly.
These will include aPSA 10 of fan-favorite “Moonbreon”(2021 SWSH Evolving Skies Secret Full Art Umbreon VMAX) andEevee fan club Japanese promo card from 2000(Eevee 500 Pt. Fan Club Japanese Holo Promo #133), whichsells for an average of $10,000for a PSA 10 according toPrice Charting.
Each day will bring a new set of 24-hour auctions, resetting at 6 a.m. PT. The following is a full schedule of all the cards that will be up for auction:
All auctions will start at just nine cents, so this may be fans' chance to get a hold of some extremely rare finds for a price that’s potentially lower than market value. Eevee fans will have to act fast though, as the shop will only be available for three days:
From 6:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday through Feb. 25 6:00 a.m. PT on Friday, Feb. 28.
The Evolving Shop will alsoput classic Eevee merch up for auction, host vintagePokémonbox breaks, and stock several $1-start auctions. Fans can expect to seePokémonmake an appearance on eBay Live between February 24 and March 2.
Pikachu Is Cute But It’s Time For Eevee To Get The Spotlight
Ever since the beginning ofPokémon, the charismatic Pikachu has taken center stage, acting as the face of the franchise. Since then, the series has grown and expanded to a huge degree, and the time has come for Pikachu to step aside and let another Pokémon get the spotlight for a change.
Eevee is another fan-favorite character, socelebrating the cute brown fox-like Pokémon is a nice change. According to a press release issued by eBay, “in 2024, Eevee ranked as the eighth most-searched Pokémon on eBay globally among the original 151 characters.”
ThePokémonCompany is really making sure that Eevee and its plethora of evolutions get the attention they deserve bymaking the entire year focus on them. Some fans even speculate that putting the spotlight on Eevee may mean that a new Eeveelution will be introduced this year, maybe even withPokémon Legends: Z-A.It’s a good year to be an Eevee fan, as the Pokémon is celebrated with merch, new and old.
