Our Take: It’s About Time For A Great Game Of Thrones Game

New Game Benefits From Working Within A Completed Show

While we’ve seen plenty of mobile games tie-ins toGame of Thrones, there’s yet to be a truly greatGame of Thronesvideo game - even the Telltale release has a mixedMetacriticscore of 64. Hopefully, that changes withGame of Thrones: Kingsroad, which benefits from having a finished show to work around. The developers know which characters live and die during the show, which should help cultivate a storyline that feels impactful without disrupting continuity. While we’re not sure how mobile devices will deal with an action-adventure RPGs,Game of Thrones: Kingsroadwill hopefully have the story and gameplay to be the first hit for a top fantasy franchise.
