According to newGenshin Impactleaks, there is bad news for players awaiting Iansan’s release in the action RPG, as well as enthusiasts for another character that is rumored to become playable in the future. Iansan is one of the new Natlan characters introduced with Version 5.0, though only as an NPC. In fact, she was the first Natlan character to be revealed, far before the arrival of the Nation of Pyro. Since then, she has all but been confirmed as one of the new playableNatlan characters inGenshin Impact, though her release date has yet to be determined.
So far, Iansan has been playing a vital role in the Archon Quests set in the Nation of Pyro as she assists Mavuika in her efforts to save Natlan from the Abyss’ incursion. Alongside Kinich, Mualani, and Xilonen, Iansan is confirmed to be one of the heroes with Ancient Names in Natlan, who will step up to defend the Nation. She is considered one ofMavuika’s heroes inGenshin Impact, though there are still two more characters that have yet to join the roster and help the Pyro Archon defend the land and its people from the Abyss.

Natlan Character IDs In Genshin Impact Have Been Leaked
The Order Seems To Coincide With Other External Leaks
A series of in-game Natlan character IDs has allegedly leaked, showcasing not only those who have already been released or confirmed by the developer but also future characters and when they may arrive. The information gathered by the leaker known as HomDGCat, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit, seems to be in line with other leaks about character releases. Kachina, Kinich, and Mualani are the first on the list and are then preceded by Xilonen, who will be released in Version 5.1. After that are Chasca and Ororon. Both are rumored forGenshin Impact5.2.
The list then showcases Mavuika and Citlali, who are rumored to become playable in Version 5.3.

Iansan May Be Preceded By Two Other Characters In Genshin Impact
Two Character IDs Before Iansan Are Missing
While all the aforementioned characters are listed in order with their rumored in-game IDs, Iansan is listed as 110, after Citlali at 107. This could mean that there will be two new character releases between Citlali in Version 5.3 and Iansan in a future update. These two characters would be listed as 108 and 109 in their character IDs. The leak by HomDGCatdoes not specify who will be released before Iansan but the Electro character’s arrival may be pushed to Version 5.5 or even a later patch, depending on how the two otherGenshin Impactcharacters are released.
If the unmentioned characters with IDs 108 and 109, respectively, are released within the same patch, which could be Version 5.4,Iansan’s release may be scheduled for Version 5.5. If the rumored characters with IDs 108 and 109 are released in separate updates – such as Version 5.4 and 5.5 – the Electro character may be pushed further down the release pipeline. This does not consider the possibility of a rerun-exclusive update in the game. There is a chance that a patch in the near future will not feature new characters and will rely exclusively on reruns inGenshin Impact.

Which Characters May Be Released Before Iansan
Madame Ping’s Playable Version May Arrive In Version 5.4
Based on the game’s previous leaks and the correlation of when the rumored 108 and 109 characters will be released, it is possible to speculate which characters will be added to the roster before Iansan. With Mavuika and Citlali leaked as the new playable characters for Version 5.3, it is possible to presume that at least one of the next characters will be released in Version 5.4. If there are no delays or shorter updates,Version 5.4 should arrive on August 08, 2025, which would coincide with the annual Lantern Rite event that takes place in Liyue.
There are already rumors aboutMadame Ping’s playable form inGenshin Impactsoon, so she may very well be one of the new characters who will be released before Iansan. This would line up with her relevance within the Lantern Rite event and overall story connections to Liyue, where the event takes place. It is unknown if she will be the only new playable character in Version 5.4 or if she will also share the update with another character, much like Gaming debuted in the same patch as Xianyun in 2023’s Lantern Rite update.

Genshin Impact’s Character Building Is Getting A Whole Lot Easier
Several new quality-of-life updates are arriving to Genshin Impact, and one of them is going to make building characters a much smoother experience.
Essentially, that leaves one more character before Iansan, according to the leak. There are several characters that have yet to be released and have been leaked for a long time. This includes the highly rumored Mummy Girl, who is speculated to be from Sumeru, as well as the character codenamed Dahlia, and thePrison Girl inGenshin Impact, who is referred to by leakers as M, expected to be related to the Prison of Meropide in Fontaine. With much fewer leaked characters, these are the most likely to be one of the units to arrive before Iansan.

At the moment, it is impossible to determine exactly who will be released before Iansan, thoughMadame Ping’s playable form seems like the best out of two guesses due to her connection to Liyueand how her release could coincide with the Lantern Rite. More hints should arise as the game pushes forward and more leaks are shared.
Capitano’s Release In Genshin Impact Just Became More Mysterious
The Character’s Release May Have Been Canceled
In addition to Iansan’s belated release, the leak also highlights the absence of Capitano in the playable character ID list. HomDGCat mentions that the Fatui Harbinger does not currently have an internal playable character ID, only an NPC ID. This could mean that Capitano’s playable version may be pushed further back or could never even really occur, despite the previous leaks. There had already been aleak about Capitano’s release inGenshin Impactbeing canceled altogether, which could justify why he did not appear on the list.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Mavuika Is Making Me Hopeful For The Game’s Future, Four Years Later
There have been new leaks about Mavuika’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.3, and they sound extremely promising, even if four years late.
Despite the credibility the leak seems to have, especially considering how it matches other leaks about character releases, the list of playable character IDs should be considered with caution. The information provided may be incorrect, subject to change, or, as hinted, incomplete.
