It’s time to celebrate the new Max Out season inPokemon GO, with loads of new Pokemon to catch including the Fire-type starter Pokémon from the Galar region, Scorbunny. This season is set to see a host of new features, new debuts, and the launch of theDynamax mechanicwhich is a massive change. But first up is the GO All Out event, which runs from September 3 to 10, 2024.

During this event, a handful of Pokémon from the Galar region will be making their debut in the game. This includes the three starter Pokémon that you may choose from in the Generation 8 games,Pokémon Sword and Shield. Alongside theGrass-type Grookeyand the Water-type Sobble, Scorbunny is the Fire-type starter for this generation, so here’s how to find one and evolve it into Raboot and then Cinderace.

Catching, Hatching, Or Through Research

There are multiple ways to catch the Fire-type starter Scorbunny during the GO All Out event:Finding one as a wild spawn, hatching one from a 5km Egg, or completing specific Research tasks.

As with all of the new Galar-region starter Pokémon that are debuting during the GO All Out event, Scorbunny can spawn int he wild, so keep an eye on the “Nearby” feature and move between PokéStops to encourage more spawns. The three Galar-region starters have also been added to the 5km Egg pool, including Scorbunny, so that’s another way to add one to your collection.

All three starter Pokémon, which are making their debuts during the event, will spawn more frequently than other Pokémon, so if you keep moving you are likely to find one.

Only 5km Eggs obtained during the new season will have a chance of hatching a Scorbunny, so any Eggs you found prior to this won’t count. You can also find Scorbunny by completingevent-themed Field Research tasks. These will be given to you at random when spinning PokeStops during the GO All Out event. Remember, you can delete old tasks you don’t want anymore.

Finally, you will also be able to get a Scorbunny via theGalar Calling Special Research storywith branching paths that will be available to all Trainers at the beginning of the Max Out season. For this story, you willchoose one of the Galar starter Pokémonand will receive additional opportunities to catch Scorbunny, as well as earn a lot of additional candies that can be vital.

The GO All Out event also brings the debuts of Scorbunny’s evolutions, Raboot and Cinderace.To evolve Scorbunny into, Raboot you need to have 25 Scorbunny Candy saved up. To evolve it into its final stage, Cinderace, you will need a further 100 Scorbunny Candy. You don’t need anyEvolution items inPokémon GOto evolve Scorbunny.

You can farm extra Scorbunny candy by selecting it as your Buddy Pokémon and exploring with it. You will earn one Candy for each 3km you walk with it as your buddy. By transferring any additional Scorbunny that you catch and don’t want to keep you will also earn additional Candy. Each time you catch an additional Scorbunny, you will earn three Candy, but this can be doubled to six if you use a Pinap Berry before throwing a Poké Ball at it.
