In addition to the unlock quest, this is amultiplayer-only dungeon. You will not be able to complete the Dark Citadel solo, and cannot use Mercenaries to do so.

From there, you canspeak to Priestess Cualli near the World Tier Statue in Upper Kurastto start the quest. This quest, and subsequently the Dark Citadel, alsorequires that you are on Torment Difficulty, so you must have reached the point where your character can handle enemies at that level before you start to do so.

Completing Each Wing

There arethree total wings to get throughuntil you reach the end. Getting through them will be the more difficult challenge, but with a host of friends helping you, it can go by much faster. Enclave Of Strife (Left Wing)

In this part of the Dark Citadel, playersmust use Ward Stones and Sealing Wardsto make it to the end of the dungeon. You will have todefeat Ward Guardiansin order to get the Ward Stones, which are considered elite enemies. Once obtained, you’re able to use the Ward Stones to place them on the Sealing Wards on the doors.

Additionally, you willneed to step on colored tiles that match the color of nearby barriersin order to remove them.Soul Siphons are also encountered throughout each wing, which are circular areas that will light up when you step inside, and you must stay inside until the whole circle is filled and fully charged in order to move on.

Throughout the Dark Citadel and in every wing, you will bebuilding up your Impending Doom. You will have to remove this debuff by finding Soul Dampeners, which areareas with little barriers that you’re able to enterto remove the Impending Doom that is on your character.

You will then have to defeat this wing’s boss, which is calledGorschak. To do so, you will first have to have at least one party member enter the Spirit Realm by collecting Realm Shards from mob enemies and putting them in the Gateway. You can then use the Gateway to teleport away. One player must stay behind to bring the other party members back. If you are struggling with the fight as the solo person on either side, check out one of thebest builds for this Seasonto beat it.

The person in the Spirit Realm will need to defeat the Ward Guardians to get the Ward Stones and dispel the Sealing Wards. This will spawn an elite enemy known asFragmented Soul of Gorschak. Once defeated, this will give you the Soul Essence you need to return. This iswhere you will build up Impending Doom, so slip into the Soul Dampeners as necessary.

You may have towait for your teammatesto open the Gateway again.

You thendeposit the Soul Essence you received in the Conduit of Soulsto make Gorschak vulnerable, and you can finally start to damage him. You will have torepeat these steps at least once for every health thresholdbefore you can finally defeat Gorschak and move on to the next wing.

Labyrinth of Souls (Right Wing)

You will encounter most of the previous mechanics from the Left Wing, so keep those in mind heading into this dungeon. In addition, the Right Wing will have you dealing withSigil Rooms and Barrier Guardians. You will have to kill the Barrier Guardians in order to access Sigil Rooms.

You will have tomatch the Sigils to the rooms they belong to, which may or may not be near the Barrier Guardian you killed to get them. Use the Sigils to open the rooms. You willpass through the Realm of Oblivions on the way to the first boss, where you will again have to deal with Impending Doom by using Soul Dampeners.

Diablo 4: Season 6 - All Uber Mythic Uniques & What They Do

Uber Mythic Uniques are the strongest items you can get in Diablo 4, but each does not work for all classes due to how their powerful effects vary.

Along the way, you willfirst encounter Faeroch, who has a very strong party-wipe attack if you are not careful. To dodge it, youmust stand inside the protective bubblethat appears in the arena to avoid damage. After the attack, you can damage Faeroch in return and return to the protective bubble as needed.

The final boss in this wing will beLorzuul, the Gorger. You will need to find more Sigils and match them with the signs around the battlefield so that Lorzuul is no longer immune to damage. Once you have all of them,Lorzuul will become vulnerableand you can attack and finish him.

Dominion Of Zagraal (Center Wing)

The main mechanic of the center wing is that youwill need to kill Spell Guardians to obtain a Counterspell Stone. Use these to deflect Soul Orbs from bosses to allow you to open a portal. You will thenhave to step on the pedestals around the portals to dispel a barrier. Inside the portals, you will be able to collect Ward Stones and deal with Sealing Wards once again.

Eventually, you willcome to the Exalted Cloisterand use much of the same mechanics as before, stepping on pedestals and using Ward Stones. You will then have toface the bosses Vorshok and Hurstt. Here you will be facing more Spell Guardians to get the Counterspell Stones, which you can then use to deflect a Soul Orb from either boss.

Doing so willallow you to head into the Spirit Realm once moreand kill whichever boss you were able to counter. You can then return through the portal andrepeat the same steps to kill the other.

Continuing on, you will face Zagraal, who combines most of the mechanics from the other boss fights. You will first use portals to deplete his health, but he will then become invincible much like the other bosses. Step on the pedestals to dispel the barrier and activate the conduit. After that, you will have tocharge all four Soul Siphons and then deposit a Sigilon the matching Soul Siphon. Once you do this, a Spell Guardian will appear and you will receive a Counterspell Stone.

Use this the same way as before to begin the damage phase once again. After that, you will have torepeat the same steps in order to finish him off. Once you do, you can finally collect your reward, including a newset of armor cosmetics inDiablo 4.

Dominion of Zagraal

The Dark Citadel as a whole willreward players with a Weekly Cache, so running this dungeon once a week will be what most players want to do. Additionally, you will receive Citadel Coins which allow you to unlock exclusive cosmetics to the Dark Citadel inDiablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.
