What Happened In Hunter x Hunter Chapter #410?

Borksen’s Victory and Sudden Change of Heart

The chapter begins with Morena reacting to the martial law announcement, and Borksen notices how tense she is and decides to use this great opportunity to deduce which tier they are on. She continues the game and picks the deal card, much to Morena’s shock at her calm attitude. The deal card allows Borksen to retrieve a card from the graveyard after fulfilling a request for Morena, and Morena’s request was a kiss. This is linked to her ability, as the exchange of fluids is a requirement to make someone a “host”. Borksen didn’t like this request but still went through with it, and retrieved the X card.

Suddenly, Borksen asks Morena if she could check her remaining cards to confirm that they weren’t the same and that she wasn’t cheating. After insisting on this, Morena allows her to do so and Borksen confirms they’re not the same. The three cards are shuffled, and Borksen unfortunately ends up picking the X card again, which is thrown back into the graveyard. The game continues with Borksen choosing the QA card, which allows her to ask Morena as many questions as she wants, but the responses are only Yes, No, and Yes and No. Borksen begins by trying to narrow down which tier they are on, and she is shocked to find out they’re between tier 2 and 3.

She continues her line of questioning by asking about the number of accomplices, the entrance to their hideout, her group’s Nen category, what would happen if her last card was “No,” and whether there was ever a chance that Morena would change her goals. Once she finishes her questions, they reveal the last two cards. Borksen is beyond relieved when she picks the “Return” card. Morena admits defeat, expecting Borksen to retrieve the “X” card from the graveyard and leave the hideout. However, she is shocked to see the “Yes” card on the table. Morena asks if this is a mistake, and Borksen confirms that it is not.

Borksen’s Sudden Change of Heart Is a Huge Plot Twist

This chapter was extremely tense, to say the least, particularly Borksen’s rapid-fire questioning. However, no one could’ve seen the twist at the end when Borksen chooses to return the Yes card, and therefore join Morena’s group. This is made even more interesting by reading chapter #394 again, whereBorksen and her friends made a vow to avoid being involved with Morenato save their lives, and hopefully go on to live much longer. Another interesting detail in the chapter is when Borksen tells Morena she will try to change Kakin in any way she can.

Interestingly, throughout this entire game, Borksen did multiple suspicious or random acts that hint she might have cheated. The stunt where she asks Morena if she could check if the cards were manipulated was the biggest example, but other scenes where her hands are on the cards or where she taps a card before picking were suspicious too. Furthermore, her constant reassurance of the game’s fairness threw off both readers and Morena.

These past three chapters have made Borksen one of the arc’smost interesting characters, despite her lack of powers and deep motivations. Her development from a complacent Kakin soldier to someone who wants to take the initiative is fantastic. There is more to come from her as fans will get to find out her goals and agenda as she chooses to dive deeper into the deadliest group on the Black Whale.Hunter x Hunter’s new plot line is easily one of its best yet, and the climax to Morena’s story isn’t too far away with the involvement of Borksen.
