Red Dead Online is the online multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2. Think of it as Rockstar Games' western version of GTA Online. And while it no longer receives significant updates, it still hasa dedicated player base. So, is Red Dead Online cross-platform?
If you want to give it a try this late in the game, the short answer for you is no. Let’s go into more detail.
There is no cross-play or cross-progression between platforms in Red Dead Online. It is unfortunate, but it’s the truth. PC players can only play with PC players, PlayStation users can only play with PlayStation users, and those on Xbox can only play with those on Xbox.
It isa bit disappointing, considering the sheer size of the online game upon its release. Red Dead Online could have been much more successful than anyone imagined if cross-platform play was made available. Rockstar is known for not adding the feature, however, as the same goes for GTA online.

The PC community is much larger and you’ll have a much better time. As well, Red Dead Online on PC has mod support. This includes a variety of fan-made modes and RP servers. There’s just a lot more to do in Red Dead Online for PC without cross-platform to meet up with other systems' users.
