Walt Dohrn Has Said He’s Interested in Directing Another Trolls Movie
At this moment,Trolls 4has not been confirmed. However, Walt Dohrn, who co-directedTrollsand directed the last two films, says he and his crew are ready forTrolls 4(viaDexerto),
“I hope so and we’re ready to go. We have so many ideas.”
Dohrn’s sentiments have been frequently echoed by Justin Timberlake. Back in 2020, Timberlake expressed how he hoped there would be plenty moreTrollsmovies to come (viaBillboard),
“I hope we make, like, seven Trolls movies, because it literally is the gift that keeps on giving.”
Referring back to Timberlake’s comments, Dohrn said about the possibility of a fourth film (viaTheDigitalFix),
“There’s a never-ending source of material for these movies. There’s so many places that it can go and we’ve discussed, like this one.”

A New Boy Band Like NSYNC Could Appear
Without the film being confirmed, it’s not known who would appear inTrolls 4, but based on the ending ofTrolls Band Together, some pretty obvious characters should return. Princess Poppy and Branch should, of course, be back, likely again as the leads.Many characters have appeared in all three films and should be expected to return, including King Gristle Jr (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), Bridget (Zooey Deschanel), Cooper (Ron Funches), and Guy Diamond (Kunal Nayyar).

“There was a young person that we talked to. They said, ‘Get One Direction back together’. So I guess we’ll see what works.”
So there’s a chance that the English-Irish boy band could be getting back together, at least in animated form.

Dohrn Has Plenty Of Ideas For The Series
There is no news about theTrolls 4story and, as each film has so far been its own standalone,Trolls 4could go in any direction. Dohrn has some ideas about what could come next (viaDexerto),
“I would love to see where Branch and Poppy’s relationship goes. We have tonnes of worlds you haven’t even seen before that we’re excited to build. So we’re ready to go.”
With BroZone reunited at the end ofTrolls Band Together, the next film could also follow their growth as a band. Perhaps a rival boy band (maybe played by One Direction) could appear to challenge them. There was also a discontinued run of Trolls toys aimed at boys, Battle Trolls, which had bulging muscles and weapons (viaSmithsonianMag). This could create a whole new pool of characters for Poppy and Branch to interact with and perhaps open upTrolls 4to an even wider audience.
