Ahead ofDaredevil: Born Againseason 1, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that the second season is slated to begin filming in 2025. He further expressed excitement for future multi-season shows set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige’s take on doing more MCU series with multiple seasons is a step in the right direction. There are a lot of interesting characters who deserve the spotlight, but they’re maybe not suited to film. Daredevil is a prime example, as the television format allows for slower, more character-focused storytelling. The series is able to flesh out both Daredevil and Kingpin with the extra time. This is doubly true when considering how the Netflix iteration spread out their development over multiple seasons. The MCU is smart to follow this strategy withDaredevil: Born Againand hopefully, subsequent character-driven shows.
