Inspired byThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a Link cosplayer recently brought the beloved Hero of the Wild to life, and it is nothing short of incredible. While there are countless Link cosplays out there, this one has been catching the attention of theZeldafans. Many havecomplimented the effort that was put into the entire costume, and it isn’t hard to see why it gets so much praise.

The costume was created byaguynamedsteveon Reddit, a cosplayer from Virginia. In his most recent photo, he is shown wearing theChampion’s Leathers armor, complete with Link’s iconicMaster Swordand a new prosthetic arm. Although Steve photoshopped himself into the background photo he is depicted in, the entire outfit itself is hand-made, proving that he has clear artistic talent.

One of the most notable aspects of Steve’s cosplay isthe Master Sword. One Reddit user asked Steve how he got the blade to glow. As it turns out, not only did Steve 3D print the entire blade, which is already impressive in and of itself, but he alsoimplemented LED lightsinto the blade so that its glow truly replicated the visual effect from the game.

Years Of Cosplay Experience

According to Steve’s Instagram post, his Champion’s Leathers cosplay is an improved version of the same costume he made back in 2019. However, this is not the only Link outfit that Steve has created. There are countless other variations of Link on his Instagram@stevemakescosplays, including those with the Ember and Archaic clothing sets. He has even attended multiple conventions, including Otakon 2024, wearing these iconic outfits.

It is evident thatSteve goes above and beyond with every cosplay he makes, and this version of the Champion’s Leathers is a clear testament to his craft. He not only painstakingly made every little detail of the outfit but also took the time to make the iconic master sword glow, which is something that not many cosplayers can do. It is clear why Steve’s work gets so much praise, as not everyone can look like a video game character who just set foot into the real world.
