Taylor Sheridan is the mind behind the spy thriller television series Special Ops: Lioness on Paramount+, but his role expands in season 2.
The CIA has to placate the DEA, Border Control, and other U.S. organizations(who all want to look good and obtain bigger budgets) after their stunt to rescue the Congresswoman intheLionessseason 2 premiere. As a result, Joe and her team must help Gutierrez hit a warehouse believed to be the cartel’s staging area just south of the U.S./Mexico border. Unfortunately, what they find in the warehouse at the end ofLionessseason 2, episode 4, certainly isn’t what they were expecting.

Lioness Season 2, Episode 4 Ends With Joe’s Team Making A Disturbing Discovery
TheLionessseason 2 charactersthought they would find drugs in the warehouse in episode 4. Instead, they discover women and children forced into human trafficking. Joe’s team is almost effortlessly able to break into the warehouse (with a lot of help from Josephina in the air), and they are more than shocked whenthey see hundreds of terrified women and children inside.
Thanks to the events ofLionessseason 2, episode 4, Josephina’s success is somehow even more necessary than it was before.

It appears as ifthe cartel is not only smuggling drugs but is also involved in human trafficking.Unfortunately, there is nothing the agents can do to rescue them. However, Joe still puts a tracker in a young girl’s shoe so that another team can save them later inLionessseason 2.
They Were Likely Working With The Cartel
During the mission inLionessseason 2, episode 4,Josephina is (unsurprisingly) in the air, where she works best.Joe orders her to shoot at and kill the Mexican police approaching the scene. Josephina shoots and kills them all, just like Joe tells her to do.The Mexican police approaching the warehouse were not Federales, meaning they were local and likely owned by the cartels. If they got to the warehouse, Joe and her team would be in major trouble, which is why Zoe Saldaña’s character orders the Lioness to execute them in episode 4 ofTaylor Sheridan’sLionessseason 2.
What To Expect In Lioness Episode 5
Will Josephina’s Real Mission Finally Begin?
Now that the CIA, DEA, and others know the cartel is dealing in human trafficking, not just drugs, their mission is far more complicated than before inLionessseason 2.The cartel’s threat just keeps on expanding, making Joe’s team’s mission all the more dire.
