Disney’s newest Marvel one-shot will feature a cover by Giada Perissinotto, and variant covers from Elena Casagrande, Peach Momoko, and Phil Noto. Donald Duck has stepped into theheroic shoes of Wolverine and Thor, paving the way for Minnie Mouse to steal the spotlight this November. Donald’s previous adventures are part of the commemorative celebration of the character’s 90th anniversary. Minnie Mouse already celebrated the milestone back in 2018, making this a bonus adventure for the fashion-forward mouse. The synopsis is as follows:
WHAT IS THE SECRET PAST OF MINNIE MOUSE? Our story finds The Chronicle newspaper reporter Minnie Mouse tasked with an exposé on a new hero on the scene in Duckburg, CAPTAIN MARVEL! But Peg Leg Pete - Scorpion complicates her plans with an attack on the Chronicle building! To make matters worse, John D. Rockerduck and the Beagle Boys attack Scrooge McDuck’s money bin, and when Captain Marvel shows up to stop them, Minnie discovers an incredible secret about her past! Duckburg has been a staple location in Disney comics, stretching back to Scrooge McDuck’s early comic years. Typically, Minnie and Mickey, along with their friends often live in Mouseton, especially within comics from BOOM! Studios and IDW Publishing, among others.Darkwing Duck operates in St. Canard, leaving plenty of room for Marvel’s Disney heroes to operate and explore new origins, apart from Gizmoduck, who sometimes shifts between St. Canard and Duckburg.

Marvel and Disney have been doing crossover work together since Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration, which was commemorated with crossover variant cover art. This has now expanded into complete crossover one-shots revisiting milestone origin stories. Should these crossovers get any bigger, they’d likely result in miniseries or alternate versions of major Marvel events. Seeing Mickey Mouse defeat an alternate version of Thanos could prove rather exciting given how the Disney 100 covers have already shown glimpses of Pete the Cat as the villain. First,Minnie Mouse will stepinto the shoes of Carol Danvers and become Captain Marvel.
