Episode #17 saw a number of new allies joining the fight, such as the students from Shiketsu High, who were originally meant to be aiding in the evacuations, but the evacuees never came. Fortunately, their help arrived in the nick of time, and powerful Quirk users like Inasa Yoarashi began to turn the tide, even against the countless masses of Twice clones. However, Toga’s doubles, even the ones turning into Shigaraki and Dabi, are unable to use their Quirks. As bad as the situation is, it could still be a whole lot worse, as Tsuyu Asui explained in a post-credits scene.

What Happened in My Hero Academia, Season 7, Episode #17?
The Tides of Battle Are Turning Once Again
Episode #17 ofMy Hero Academiaseason 7opened by showing how Lady Nagant managed to get her shot off against Shigaraki from all the way in the Central Hospital, having climbed onto the roof against doctor’s orders to aid Midoriya in whatever way she could. Gentle was still holding UA aloft with his Quirk, although it was beginning to reach the limits of his capabilities. La Brava managed to get the levitation systems back online, relieving Gentle of his burden–but not before letting the world know how Gentle had saved the day.
Midoriya, meanwhile, took Shigaraki down to the surface now that his Quirks were active again, to prevent him from completely destroying UA and killing everyone aboard. Kurogiri warped the falling Aizawa and Present Mic away from the field of battle, although whether it was to save them or remove them from play remains to be seen. All for One, for his part, was still attempting to escape while Toga’s doubles kept the heroes busy, but he was intercepted by Hawks–who nearly died, if it hadn’t been for a timely illusion by Shiketsu’s Camie.

My Hero Academia Just Brought Back Two Villains, & They Finally Settle a Controversial Fan Debate
Episode 16 of season 7 sees the return of two familiar faces, whose arrival proves that even a villain can come back from the darkness and be a hero.
Shiketsu’s students began to turn the tide back in the heroes' favor, dealing with hundreds of doubles at once thanks to Inasa. The cloudy weather also allowed Tokoyami to unleash the full might of Dark Shadow, a power even All for One has reason to fear. Finally, it was revealed that Toga can’t use Dabi or Shigaraki’s Quirks, even though Twice would’ve been able to, due to the restrictions of her own Quirk, preventing a worst-case scenario from erupting.

My Hero Academia Season 7, Episode #18 Finds Out It’s a Small World
Gigantomachia Breaks Loose and Enters the Battle
Episode #18 ofMy Hero Academiaseason 7is entitled “It’s a Small World.” The focus seems to be shifting to the site where Gigantomachia is being held, a battlefield which hasn’t received much attention so far. Gigantomachia’s aid would be a massive boon to the villains, so the heroes have to keep the beast from being awoken–although the next episode preview suggests that may not be possible. Deku and Shigaraki will continue to clash, now on the ground and isolated from any potential help.
The main focus will be on stopping All for One and preventing Gigantomachia from awakening. All for One is still attempting to flee and meet up with Shigaraki, intending to give him the copy of the All for One Quirk he currently wields before the rewind drug takes him out for good. That would truly be a disaster, so the heroes will have to throw out all the stops to prevent this from happening.Episode #18 ofMy Hero Academiaseason 7is looking to be another exciting one that could be full of unpredictable twists.
