The newestGenshin Impact5.2 character banner leaks are worrying me about the chosen rerun units. Version 5.2 is still weeks away from being implemented into the action RPG by HoYoverse as the title has just entered Version 5.1. This is a patch that has added more Natlan Archon Quests for players as they help Mavuika fend off the Abyss’ incursion on the Nation of Pyro. During Version 5.1, players can also pull forXilonen inGenshin Impact, and, if they are lucky enough to obtain her, they can use the Geo support unit to substantially enhance the team’s power.

While there is still a lot of content to go through in Version 5.1, the beta tests for the next update have started and leaks bring information about what will be added in Version 5.2. This includes the extensive description of both Chasca and Ororon’s gameplay kits, both of which will seemingly change the meta composition of various parties – especially when it comes to exploration. Furthermore, theGenshin Impact5.2 character banner leakshad predicted a highly anticipated rerun, though new details indicate the chosen rerun units have been changed once again, and, it’s looking dreadful for some players.

Rerun Characters For Genshin Impact 5.2 Have Changed, According To Leaks

Stronger Units May Rerun In The Next Update

While previous leaks indicated that Albedo, Venti, and Klee would be the featured 5-star reruns in Version 5.2, a new leak by HomDGCat indicates that this will not be the case. Instead, the leak that was shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” onRedditsaysPhase 1 banners will feature Chasca’s debut alongside a rerun for Lyney, while Phase 2 banners will feature the 5-star characters Neuvillette and Zhongli. Furthermore, the leak indicates that Ororon, Heizou, and Fischl will be the 4-star characters with increased drop rates during one of the two leaked banner phases inGenshin Impact5.2.

Three other 4-star characters should also have increased drop rates during one of the two banner phases, though it is uncertain which group will pertain to which period.

Genshin Impact’s Wriothesley smiles gently as he adjusts his tie.

The rumored alteration to rerun characters represents a massive change in the power level of characters being offered by the banners. While the characters mostly play different roles in team comps. Neuvillette is among the strongest DPS units in the game, while Zhongli stands tall as one of the best shielders for any type of team comp. Lyney is also a superb Pyro DPS unit. Meanwhile, Klee and Albedo are not as strong as they once were, and Venti does not feel as crucial as the newly leaked rerun characters inGenshin Impact 5.2. There is still a problem, however.

Wriothesley’s Lack Of A Rerun Is Becoming A Problem In Genshin Impact

The Cryo DPS Is Missing From The Game

Even though the new leaked rerun characters feel like an upgrade from the previous group cited in leaks, both rumors share a notable problem: the lack of Wriothesley rerun. The 5-star Cryo character was released last year and quickly became one of the strongest and most reliable Cryo units in the game, even surpassing the potential of Ganyu in certain activities. Wriothesley’s ability and proficiency to deal Cryo DMG with his Normal and Charged Attacks – thanks to his usage of a catalyst as a weapon – makes him a great character for quickly triggering Elemental Reactions inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: Wriothesley Character Builds (Weapons, Artifacts, Team Comps)

If you give Wriothesley a proper build and a team comp, he can become one of the best Cryo DPS characters in Genshin Impact. Here’s what you need.

Wriothesley’s first and only banner ran from mid-October to early November last year and, since his debut and limited run, he has not yet been made available for pulls in the gacha system. For reference,Wriothesley debuted in the Phase 2 banners of Version 4.1, following Neuvillette’s debut in the Version 4.1 Phase 1 banners. In contrast, if the leak is true, this is the second time that Neuvillette will rerun since his debut, as opposed to Wriothelsey who has not yet appeared a second time inGenshin Impact’s character banners.

Neuvillette appeared in a rerun banner in Version 4.5, only three updates after his initial debut in the game.

Wriothesley’s absence from rerun banners is further noticed by releases that occurred later than his and already appeared in reruns. This is the case ofFurina, who was released in Version 4.2, a whole patch after Wriothesley, and already reran in Version 4.7. The same can be said about Chiori, who was released in Version 4.5 and is appearing in rerunbanners inGenshin Impact5.1. While HoYoverse has no obligation to rerun Wriothesley, it seems like a strange decision to hold him back considering how popular he is and how many players expressed having lost him in Version 4.1.

Cryo Characters Feel Left Out Of Genshin Impact At The Moment

Other Units Have Been Absent From Banners

While Wriothesley’s lack of a rerun may be the most notable due to his power level, it does seem like Cryo characters are being left out of the meta altogether lately. The last 5-star Cryo character to have a rerun was Ayaka Kamisato in Version 4.3. Additionally, both Ganyu and Shenhe received new outfits during 2024’s Lantern Rite Festival, but neither of them has appeared in rerun banners in over a year. It is uncertain why Cryo characters do not have too much time in the spotlight in Natlan, especially considering how strong Melt can be inGenshin Impact.

The next major Cryo character to be released is Citlali, who has already been confirmed to be in possession of a Cryo Vision. Leaks have mentioned that Citlali is a 5-star character, who could represent a turning point for the Elemental Type in the game.Citlali’s release is rumored to occur in Version 5.3. For reference, this is the same patch that predicts the release of Mavuika, though both affirmations have yet to be confirmed by the developer. Theleaks about Citlali’s abilities inGenshin Impact5.3indicate she will be a Cryo shielder, similar to Layla.

Genshin Impact 5.2 Leaks: Imaginarium Theater Is About To Get A Lot Better

New leaks about the Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact 5.2 have emerged and, if true, the updates should make the endgame activity more pleasant.

I’m hoping that Wriothesley, Shenhe, and Ganyu appear in rerun banners soon, even if that means altering the leaked banners for Version 5.2 once again. The presence of Cryo characters in the game is important delaying the opportunity to obtain them seems like a waste, especially because of how well they could operate with the Natlan characters. Nevertheless, the leaks should be considered with caution, especially when it comes to rerun characters, which are extremely subject to change before the livestream. After theGenshin Impact5.2 livestream in November, we should get confirmation if Wriothesley will remain absent or not.
