At one point in this run, the fourth-dimensional imp Nite-Mite blipped every Bat-Family member into awedding ceremony between Batgirl and Nightwing, just to give fans what they wanted already. Though it was nothing like the foreshadowing of their eventual wedding in a story fromDark Nights: Death Metal -The Last Stories Of The DC Universe#1 by Cecil Castellucci and Mirka Andolfo,it was a tease of what was to come, and fans have been begging ever since. It showed, at least, that this union was possible - just not yet.
