During an interview withCollider,Berger clarified that the rumors of him being approached to directOcean’s 14are untrue. Despite not being attached to the upcoming project, Berger shared that he was"honored"to be associated with discussions about it, even if the discussions were only rooted in speculation. Well, I feel very honored that people think of me to be able to do something like that, and of course, I would love the challenge to do either, but again, it’s rumors that are just people wanting to print some news that just have no basis in fact.

The Clarity Is Much Appreciated
While it is disappointing to learn that the reports of Berger’s involvement inOcean’s 14are untrue,knowing he is not involved provides more clarity to the movie’s current status. Berger is an excellent filmmaker and appears to have another critical hit on his hands withConclave, which currently holds a 94% critical score on Rotten Tomatoes.Ocean’s 14would likely have had a different tone than its predecessors through his direction, but the sequel will instead have to be realized through the creative vision of another director who will tell the story of Danny Ocean’s next outrageous heist.
