Overwatch 2’s Lunar New Year 2025 event is now live! This iteration of the event features 12 challenges in total plus lots of in-game rewards. Read on for everything to know about the Overwatch 2 Year of the Snake event.
Overwatch 2 Year of the Snake event
The Overwatch 2 Year of the Snake event, also known as the Lunar New Year 2025 event, is now live. When you launch Overwatch 2 starting on Jan. 21, you can select “Year of the Snake” from the main menu and enter the Mischief & Magic game mode. This is basically prop hunt with teams of Genji and Kiriko players.

Overwatch 2 Year of the Snake event challenges and rewards
Below is our screenshot of every Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year event challenge and reward. We’ve also listed all of these out in text. You have between Jan. 21 and Feb. 4 to complete these challenges. As noted, there are 12 challenges in total and lots of Season 12 Battle Pass XP up for grabs. You can also earn the Year of the Snake 2025 player icon, Year of the Snake name card, Year of the Snake spray, and Juno’s Happy New Year voice line.
