First, youneed to reach Technology Level 56by playing through the main story and side quests to earn experience points. Once you hit level 56, go to the Technology section in your menu, where you can unlock the Metal Detector recipe using Technology Points, which you earn while playing.

How To Find And Catch Nyafia In Palworld

Nyafia is a new Pal to catch in the Palworld Feybreak update, and it requires a lot of preparation and resources to beat straight away.

Unlocking the recipe doesn’t mean you automatically get the Metal Detector; you still need to craft it. You’ll need access to aProduction Assembly Line IIcrafting station. When you have the Production Assembly Line II ready, you’ll need30 Plasteel, 100 Paldium Fragments, 30 Circuit Boards, and 20 Nightstar Sand. You can usually find Plasteel, Paldium Fragments, and Circuit Boards by breaking down other equipment, finishing quests, or exploring different areas in Palworld. Nightstar Sand is mainly found on Feybreak Island, often glowing near the beach or sandy spots at night.

This is one of the few items from the Feybreak update that does not require you tofarm hexolite quartzto craft.

How Does the Metal Detector Operate?

Using the Metal Detector is simple inPalworld. First, you need to equip it from your inventory, which will then be your primary tool. As you explore the world, especially places likethe caves on Feybreak Islandor the Scorched Hill Zone, the Metal Detector will automatically scan for ores around you.

You will know when you get close to a Chromite deposit because it will beep. The beeping will speed up and get louder as you get nearer. At the same time, the Metal Detectorwill change color from blue to red, showing that you’re close to the ore. This combination of sounds and color changes makes it easy to find Chromite, even during fights with other Pals in the areas.
