The latest Max Monday is coming toPokémon GO, as Dynamax Pidove debuts in the game. While not the strongest Pokémon, its final evolution, Unfezant, is useful inPokémon GO,especially in its Dynamax form. The Max Hour takes place every Monday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, showcasing a different Pokémon each week.Pidove will feature on Monday, February 17. In recent weeks, more Dynamax Pokémon, including Moltres, have been released inPokémon GO.

Pidove Max Battles are only one-star difficulty, which means playerscan comfortably beat them on their own,but it is still vital to select a team of Pokémon that are super effective against it. While you can beat it on your own, you are able to enter all Max Battles with up to three other local players. It isthe first opportunity to catch Dynamax Pidovebefore it is introduced to the regular rotation of Max Raids as part of theRaid Boss Schedule for February, during the week of February 17-24 and February 24 to March 3.

Three Weaknesses To Aim At

For Max Battles, you can only use Pokémon, which can already be a Dynamax version. These can be found either by completing special research, catching a Dynamax Pokémon, or evolving one.

Pokémon GO: Best Teams For Master League and Love Cup: Great League Edition

There are a lot of options for both the Master League and Love Cup: Great League in Pokémon GO, but by using balanced teams, you can win more battles.

During the Max Monday hour,Pidove will be the only Max Battle available. To take part in Pidove Max Battles, you need to locate Power Spots, which can be found by using your nearby menu to see ones close to your location. Once you have joined the battle, it takes place in turns, as opposed to regular battles in the GO Battle League. Each attack raises your Max Meter, which, once full, will allow you to use your Max Moves, but these should not be needed to defeat Pidove.

Electric, Ice, Or Rock Types Will Dominate

In recent months, anincreased number of Pokémon have been introduced in their Dynamax Formsthrough Max Battles, meaning there are a lot of choices that fall under the three types that Dynamax Pidove is weak against. Two of the best are the recently releasedGeneration One Legendary Pairing of Dynamax Zapdosand Dynamax Articuno. The fan favorites were released alongside Moltres in Max Battles, and I have found they are by far the strongest Pokémon currently available in Dynamax form inPokémon GO.

Once you have defeated Pidove, you will get the chance to catch it. You will then be able to evolve it into Tranquill for 12 Pidove Candy and evolve it further into Unfezant for 50 Pidove candy. These can be obtained by catching further Pidove’s, using rare candies on them, or by walking with it as your buddy Pokémon.

In addition, several of the Pokémon that were released shortly after the introduction of Max Battles are also super-effective against Pidove, increasing the chances that you will have caught one previously. This includes Ice-type Cryogonal and Electric- and Posion-typeToxtricity, as long as it is armed with Electric-type moves.

Each time you defeat Pidove during the Max Battles, you will get another chance to catch it. There is also asmall chance of encountering a shiny version of Pidove. Due to their regular versions' common nature inPokémon GO, once you have caught one, you should be able to evolve it easily to its final stage. Dynamax Pidove is not the hardest Pokémon to defeat in Max Battles, but as a debuting form intoPokémon GO,you should participate in Max Monday to ensure you add one to your collection.
