Pokémon Trading Card Game Pockethas announced a giveaway to help players prepare for the upcoming Mythical Island set. Recently,Pokémon TCG PocketannouncedMythical Island, the first new expansion for the game. The set will be released next Monday and offers new cards and deckbuilding strategies for players. Because of the short notice of the announcement, players don’t have much time to prepare for Mythical Island’s arrival. Luckily,Pokémon TCG Pocketis running a new giveaway specifically designed to help players prep for the new set.
Starting on December 16th, any player who logs intoPokémon TCG Pocketwill receive 12 Pack Hourglasses per day for three days. The free hourglasses will be available starting at 10 PM PST on each day. Players need to log in and claim the Pack Hourglasses from the Gift menu. Each day’s gift will only be available for 48 hours, so players should try to log in daily to make sure they don’t miss out on the new packs.

Mythical Islandis a new mini-set forPokémon TCG Pocket, featuring the Mythical Pokémon Mew and Celebi.The new set will contain around 80 cards(not including alternate art cards), including several cards that should shake upPokémon TCG Pocket’smetagame.Mythical Islandwill officially be released on Tuesday, December 17th. After the set’s release, players can still choose to openGenetic Apexcardsas those packs will not be pulled from the in-game store at this time.
FeaturedPokémoncards in the set include Mew ex, Aerodactyl ex, and Marshadow. While Mew ex has a move to copy an attack from their opponent’s Active Pokémon, Aerodactyl ex has an ability that prevents an opponent’s Active Pokémon from evolving.Both Marshadow and a new Tauros card in Mythical Island also have the ability to knock out Pikachu ex with one attack,which could finally endthat card’s dominancein the current metagame.
