Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Venusaur Event Explained

Event Will Feature New Event-Themed Flair And Focus On Solo Battles

If structured similarly tothe Lapras ex event, this solo battle event will pit players against a computer opponent that uses different complexities of decks. Assumably, all the decks will use Venusaur and complementary Grass-type Pokémon to challenge players. To easily beat the solo event, players can use a Fire-type deck.Players can also challenge themselves by completing missions that require wins with certain deck builds. The Lapras ex event also required players to spend event stamina to compete against the AI deck, so players can only challenge the decks a few times per day.

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Success Proves It’s Finally Time For Pokémon Trading Card Game 2 - & Switch 2 Would Be The Perfect Console

Pokemon TCG Pocket has reignited the general public’s interest in Pokemon trading cards, and it could mean a classic title could make a return.

Based on a different datamine, the new Venusaur event will also likely include several accessories and pieces of flairs, including coins, playmat, sleeves, and emblems all of which feature Venusaur. These will likely be made available through an event shop, which trades special event currency for the items. Keep in mind that this is all based on datamines and past events, so it’s also possible thatPokémon TCG Pocketwill switch things up for the new event.

Our Take: Alternate Art Promo Cards Are Good Event Incentives

Battling Against Computer Opponents Is A Great Way To Get New Promo Cards

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s first few events were decidedly mixed. The Lapras ex was an easy-paced challenge for players that offered challenges for players of all skill levels. Hopefully, the Venusaur event is in the same vein as the Lapras ex event, so players can work towards the reward at their own pace. This is a much better competitive event thanthe rumored win-streak eventand offers stronger incentives as well.

Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Venusaur alternate-art card, which looks absolutely gorgeous. Though this may not end up being the final product and the event may be changed before launch, fans should still be excited about what’s to come inPokémon TCG Pocket.
