TheMarvel Cinematic Universemight be about to add a huge beloved actor to the franchise, based on a new interview where the star discusses their potential future. The Multiverse Saga is getting closer to its end, asthe MCU timelineonly has a few projects left in Phase 5 before they roll into Phase 6. However, Marvel Studios may be close to getting another huge actor into their movies, and it is someone fans have been clamoring to see in the MCU for quite some time.

In a new interview withScreenGeek,Colman Domingo revealed that he has had a meeting with Marvel Studios about a potential role in the MCU franchise. Domingo, who quickly emerged as a favorite candidate for the Kang character after Jonathan Majors' firing, revealed the following about his conversations with Marvel Studios:

I have had a meeting with Marvel, yes. But it wasn’t specifically about anything. They literally sat down and said, “What do you want to do?” And I said, “I don’t know. What do you got for me?” So we’re having engagement, of course. Who would not want to be a part of the MCU? I just wouldn’t want it to be right. And something that is created for me and something where I feel like I can give something of myself to. So we’ll find out what that is. I don’t know what it is yet, but I’m patient.

What Colman Domingo’s Marvel Studios Comments Mean For The MCU

The MCU will likely not be casting Domingo to replaceMajors as Kang, since the franchise is moving away from him by using Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doomas the Multiverse Saga’s main antagonist. However, there are plenty of other roles for Domingo to play if he ends up signing up for something in the franchise. The bigger question, however, is whether or not it would be for The Multiverse Saga or for something in Phase 7.

Even though it is not in the Sacred Timeline, fans will be getting a taste of Domingo in the MCU multiverse as he will be making his debut inYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manas Norman Osborn, with the show taking place on an alternative Earth from Earth-616. That is why it isn’t shocking that Marvel Studios have been meeting with Domingo for more opportunities, especially as things have seemingly gone well between them fortheYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manshow. Whether or not he would actually play Norman in live-action for something likeSpider-Man 4remains to be seen though.
