If someone were to ask the average wrestling fan who the funniest wrestler on theWWEroster is today, the answer for most fans would beR-Truth. Truthfully (no pun intended), he ranks right up there with legends likeThe Rock as the funniest wrestlersin WWE’s entire 70-plus-year history.

Some would say that R-Truth’s WWE comedy schtick has stunted him from achieving serious heights in his career. After all, this isa former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and his heel run in WWE is fondly remembered, even if that serious run was hindered by funny moments. However, that’s also a testament to just how naturally funny Ron Killings is that he’s become eternally pigeonholed into such a comedic role. While his in-ring ability and promo skills are enough to warrant a future Hall of Fame induction, it’s his funniest moments that will peg him as a legend remembered forever.

R-Truth tries to hot tag himself into the 2024 Men’s WWE Royal Rumble match to save Dominik Mysterio in a sleeper hold from Gunther

10Hot Tag in the WWE Men’s Rumble

Royal Rumble 2024

Some of R-Truth’s funniest moments happen to be in Royal Rumble matches. Whether it’s him climbing the ladder looking for a Money in the Bank briefcase that isn’t there, or entering the Women’s Royal Rumble by accident,a Rumble match is often highlighted by Truth’s antics. Probably his best one yet comes in the most recent Rumble. Under the impression that he’s in the Judgment Day (more on that later), he enters hoping to help Dominik Mysterio the only way he knows how - with a hot tag.

What’s even funnier is the crowd reaction, as they were truly fired up andready to see a hot tag in a match that doesn’t require one. Once Truth does get tagged in, the place lights up in what was perhaps the biggest pop of the night. Not only is Truth great at making crowds laugh, he can get them invested in wanting to see a silly moment.

former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drake Maverick searches for 24 7 Champion R-Truth with a wanted poster

9Invading Drake Maverick’s Wedding for the WWE 24/7 Title

Multiple Online Segments

The 24/7 Championship was the modern equivalent to the Hardcore Championship, contested under 24/7 Falls Count Anywhere rules. The title’s existence prioritized comedy spots rather thanextreme debauchery akin to ECW,hence why some hardcore enthusiasts criticized 24/7 segments heavily, but a concept like this worked perfectly in R-Truth’s wheelhouse.

Some of his best segments were alongside former Cruiserweight Champion Drake Maverick, whenever they traded the belt. Perhaps their best work camewhen Maverick got married in real lifeto independent talent, Renee Michelle. Props to Drake, who agreed to film some content during his actual wedding, where Truth rolls him up as he’s coming up the aisle.

R-Truth dresses as R-Ziggler to team with Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz and Damian Sandow aka Damien Mizdow on WWE Friday Night SmackDown

8Being Dolph Ziggler’s Stunt Double

SmackDown, June 16, 2025

Between 2014 and 2015, The Miz took his Hollywood persona to a new level when he hired Damien Sandow to become his stunt double. As Damien Mizdow, Sandow would dress exactly like The Miz and mirror all his mannerisms, even selling whenever Miz took a bump. As Miz and Dolph Ziggler feuded over the Intercontinental Championship, The Zig Man would hire a stunt double of his own: R-Truth (or, rather, R-Ziggler).

It made for a ridiculous sight because, for obvious reasons, R-Truth and the former WWE Champion look nothing alike, but that’s also exactly the point and exactly what makes it funny. Plus,R-Truth knows how to sell something ridiculous, and something this ridiculous demanded his utmost commitment to the bit.

7The Judgment Day Promo Package

Monday Night Raw, June 14, 2025

Some of the funniest segments of the last year came at Truth’s insisting he was in Raw’s top heel stable, Judgment Day, often making the uber-cool heels break character to laugh. Their best moment comes during a promo package where Truth professes his love for the stable, admitting thatjoining was a dream he had since he left the womb.

A video package like this highlights the actual, often-overlooked promo ability of R-Truth. Yes, he says funny things on the mic, but he speaks so passionately and sincerely about Judgment Day that audiences believe he truly loves them and believes he’s in the group. Like many of his silliest segments, this Judgment Day angle wouldn’t have worked if Truth hadn’t played it up so seriously. It’s like everyone else is in on the joke except the person making it, which makes for the best kind of comedy.

Mr. McMahon scolds Trish Stratus forcing her to strip down and bark like a dog on WWE Monday Night Raw

“I don’t even know if that’s PG!”

On Raw’s SuperShow episode, Wade Barrett makes a bid for the upcoming Royal Rumble match, promising to win and throw out every competitor in his path, including fellow entrant R-Truth. Rather than argue about who is more likely to win, Truth starts mimicking the future Bad News Barrett’s British accent. Truth and his imaginary friend Lil Jimmy ponder on why Barrett is so mad when, in Florida, they’re right across the street from Disneyland.Truth then offers a slideshow of his Disneyland experience.

10 Attitude Era Angles That WWE Could Not Get Away With Showing Today

WWE’s Attitude Era is filled with some of wrestling’s most inappropriate, unhinged moments that simply would not fly today.

As if the badly photoshopped images (which may or may not have been intentional) weren’t hysterical enough, the punchline comes when he shows the slide of Pinocchio’s nose getting bigger after saying he thought Barrett would win the Rumble. The crowning moment comes in the now-constantly meme’d soundbite of Truth looking at a lying Pinocchio’s nose and saying,“I don’t even know if that’s PG!”

5Hiding Under the Ring Strapped to a Table

Monday Night Raw, July 22, 2025

Back to the 24/7 Championship shenanigans, the rules of the title meant that anything and everything could happen surrounding it at any time. Case in point, this episode of Raw featured a match between Cesaro and Ricochet. After the match, the Swiss Cyborg unleashes a post-match attack and pulls out a table to put the former WWE United States Champion through. The problem is thatsaid table is attached to R-Truth, strapped to it underneath the ring in an attempt to hide from would-be challengers chasing after him.

Much of the appeal of R-Truth’s character is that everything he says and does is random, much like the 24/7 concept behind his signature title. Truth was already unpredictable, but adding the caveat of bringing the unpredictable when audiences least expect it made his antics all the funnier. Inserting himself in a feud he has nothing to do with between two men who aren’t chasing after the 24/7 Title gave the shows he was on a must-see feeling.

4Crowd Disguises with Carmella

Monday Night Raw, June 30, 2025

When R-Truth wasn’t hiding from 24/7 challengers under the ring, he was hiding in plain sight, at least he attempted to. One such example was whenhe and Carmella don mustachioed disguises as crowd members of the WWE Universe, respectively playing a British Colonial officer and Charlie Chaplin.

It’s easy to show off Truth’s funniest solo segments as 24/7 Champion, but fans can’t overlook his tandem pairing with Carmella, who either helped him escape getting pinned or would pin him for the title herself (depending on the week). After playing the heel baddie character for years, it was refreshing to see her play a babyface sidekick, especially as she tapped into a never-before-seen comedy skill. As much as Truth gets himself over with humor, this is an example of how he gets over other people.

3Making Triple H Break Character

Monday Night Raw, July 04, 2025

R-Truth finally got his WrestleMania moment when he and Miz won the World Tag Team Championship atWrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. In celebration, Raw GM Adam Pearce and creative figurehead Triple H awarded the duo new belts. That alone should be considered a big moment, but Truth turned it into a gut-busting one as he complimented the “magic trick"while mistaking Triple H for Tommaso Ciampa.

For older fans, it’s been interesting to see Triple H’s rebranding as a fair, wholesome authority figure after watching him for years play the bitter, egotistical King of Kings. He played such a stone-cold serious main eventer whenever he went through wars with the likes of Steve Austin and Randy Orton, soseeing him struggle to keep a straight face with R-Truth is refreshingly wholesome.

2Passionate Money in the Bank Promo - Despite Not Being in the Match

Monday Night Raw, July 09, 2025

Six days before the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event, all of the match’s combatants cut a promo in the same segment, all declaring why they were most likely to win the briefcase that guaranteed them a shot at the WWE Championship. Kane, Roman Reigns, and Dolph Ziggler were the first to make a B-line for the ring, shortly followed by R-Truth. Which was strange because Truth was not one of the match’s participants.

This once again speaks to howTruth’s serious delivery can turn any moment into something funny. This is perhaps the most fiery promo he’s ever cut under this comedic character, speaking to how driven he was to win after conquering his fear of heights. Ergo, the confusion on his face when he’s told he’s not even in the match is enough to get Ziggler and even The Big Dog to break character.

1Making Brock Lesnar Break Character

Monday Night Raw, July 11, 2025

Most of R-Truth’s funniest moments are comprised of him getting others to break character and either crack a smile or outright laugh. His most impressive feat of doing so has to be when he made WWE Champion Brock Lesnar do the same on the road to the Royal Rumble. The 24/7 Champion hits the ring not to challenge the WWE champion, but to stake a claim against his advocate, Paul Heyman, and Brock absolutely loses it.

Beyond just being amused by the hilarious R-Truth, it’s hard not to be impressed by Truth’s ability to make anyone crack. Before this, Lesnar was always known for staying as stone-faced as possible, only cracking a smile as he enjoyed dismantling his opponents. It’s genuinely surprising to see the normally unfazed Conqueror laughing in unison with theWWEUniverse at R-Truth’s delivery.
