School Spiritsseason 2 now has an official teaser and a raft of first-look images out ofNew York Comic Con. The Paramount+ supernatural teen drama stars Peyton List as Maddie Nears, who worked from the afterlife to solve her own disappearance and now must try and regain her body. The core cast also includes Kristian Ventura, Milo Manheim, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, and Rainbow Wedell. The upcomingSchool Spiritsseason 2was renewed in June 2023, just two months after the season 1 finale aired.
At New York Comic Con,Paramount+unveiledthe official teaser forSchool Spiritsseason 2. The video plays over a monologue of Maddie reflecting on how “what comes after death… can really freak you out” and “facing yourself can be the hardest part.” The clips onscreen alternate between an intense closeup of Maddie in front of a window with a twisted reflection and glimpses of the returning characters and their season 2 storylines, including a shot of Maddie and Wally (Manheim) kissing. Paramount+also unveileda gallery of new first-look images from season 2. This includes multiple shots from episode 1, depicting a panicked Maddie, both alone and consulting with the other spirits, as well as an intense shot of Rhonda and Charley in the library. Additionally, a glimpse at episode 2 reveals the return of Mr. Martin in the school parking lot, while an image from episode 4 shows a determined Simon leading several other characters down the school hallway. The Dynamic On The Show Is Shifting
Ultimately, the teaser does not reveal too much about what is to come in the next season ofParamount+‘sSchool Spirits. This may be the case because the full season has not yet been edited, as production only recently wrapped in September. However, in spite of the limited scope of the footage, there isquite a bit of material hidden within the quick shots of upcoming storylines.
Milo Manheim originally announced that production had commenced onSchool Spiritsvia his official Instagram account on June 13.
In addition to the kiss between Maddie and Wally, the teaser shows howthe fight to find Maddie’s body is not going to be easy. However, it will bring together both the living and the dead, as shown by the increased prominence of Simon, bridging the gap between the living andSchool Spirits’ afterlifeand seemingly taking on more of a leadership role as the show progresses.

One major thing revealed by theSchool Spiritsteaser is the fact thatthe show is increasing the intensity upon its return, both in terms of its central mystery-thriller storyline and the teen drama surrounding it. This could potentially help the new season become even more well-regarded than the last, which earned a solidly Fresh 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes alongside an even better 89% score from audiences.

When teenage Maddie finds herself in the afterlife, she spends her idle time trying to investigate why she went missing.
