Ray and Omar in SEAL Team season 7 episode 6

SEAL Teamseason 7, episode 5, ended withJason abandoning Bravo in Thailand to return home after his son, Mikey, tore his ACL.Jason leaving in the middle of a deployment is quite uncharacteristic, and his team was further confused by his recent decisions and actions. Nevertheless, Bravo pushes on without Jason inSEAL Teamseason 7, episode 6.The SEALs receive a new mission to capture Jun Yilin, a fentanyl precursor magnate associated with Sai Lou,a Chinese criminal syndicate. However, their op doesn’t exactly go smoothly, and the results aren’t ideal despite Bravo’s eventual success in grabbing Jun.

Does Bravo Successfully Capture Jun?

Bravo’s Mission To Tie China To Drug Traffickers Continues

Following Jason’s departure,Bravo gets a new mission to take a step further in their pursuit to tie the Chinese government to Sai Lou’s drug trafficking operationin the sixthepisode ofSEAL Teamseason 7. The SEALs' joint task force with the DEA has been a bit of a roller coaster so far, and the bumpy ride only continues. Bravo is tasked with capturing Jun Yilin in Cambodia, but they don’t have permission to extradite him to Thailand (yet). The United States doesn’t have an extradition treaty with Cambodia, meaning they first need permission to bring him across the border.

Bravo (including Omar, Sonny, Drew, Brock, and Trent) arrives at Jun’s hotel to surveil him and wait for the go-ahead to capture him. Unfortunately, while there, the SEALs notice another team about to grab Jun. So,Omar gives the green light for Bravo to take Jun.They are successful in capturing the fentanyl precursor magnate, but the mysterious group of men from before tracks Jun and attempts to grab him from Bravo’s car. The team escapes, though, and headquarters steers them to an abandoned safe house where they try to wait until they get permission to bring Jun to Thailand.

Mikey in SEAL Team season 7 episode 6

[Bravo’s] mission is seemingly for nothing because China submits an extradition request when they learn Jun was taken to Thailand. Since Jun is a Chinese citizen, China is prioritized over the United States, and Bravo is ordered to return home.

The good news is that Bravo eventually gets the go-ahead to extradite Jun, but the bad news is that the unknown team finds them before they can leave the safe house. Thankfully, the SEALs previously prepared for this exact situation and get out alive with Jun in tow. So, perhapsBravo isn’t too affected by Jason leaving inSEAL Teamseason 7. However, their mission is seemingly for nothing because China submits an extradition request when they learn Jun was taken to Thailand. Since Jun is a Chinese citizen, China is prioritized over the United States, andBravo is ordered to return home.

Ray Stays Behind To Liaison

Before leaving for CambodiainSEAL Teamseason 7, episode 6, Bravo has to decide who will stay behind to liaise with the DEA and Thailand’s attorney general’s office. Ray volunteers, leaving Omar in charge of the op in Cambodia. As some may recall, episode 5 featured tension between Ray and Omar. Omar (who was set to take over Ray’s role on Bravo after he retired) felt like Ray was consistently second-guessing his decisions and undermining his ability to lead the team. Now,Ray is setting Omar free and giving him the space to find his footing as a leader.

After rushing him to the hospital, the doctors stabilize Mikey, but since he stopped breathing in the ambulance, they have him on sedation while he recovers. Consequently,Mikey might have symptoms of confusion, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and memory issues (like Jason’s TBI).His blood tests show that tranq, a street drug, was in his system. Jason speaks with Mikey’s friend, Doug, who apologetically admits to giving Mikey a painkiller that was given to Doug by a friend when he got hurt wrestling. SEAL Team Ignored The Perfect Way To Keep Clay Alive For Season 7 (Despite Max Thieriot’s Exit)

SEAL Team could have kept Clay Spenser alive despite Max Thieriot’s departure during season 6, and it would have helped season 7 in a big way.

Jason now believes that war truly has the last word since he thinks he almost got his son and his team killed. He thinks he can’t be Bravo-1 and a dad, and it’s unclear where Jason goes from here after episode 6, “Hundred-Year Marathon.” It seems likeDavid Boreanaz’s Jason’s trauma inSEAL Teamseason 7has beenbuilding up to him either dying or eventually leaving Bravoby the time the series finale comes around. But only time will tell what Jason’s fate is whenSEAL Teamends.

Why Drew Wasn’t With Echo When They Died

Drew Explains His Absence From The Mission In SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 6

Although it’s only a small part oftheSEAL Teamepisode, Drew’s explanation as to why he wasn’t with Echo when they died is important. As many now know,Drew was a member of Echo when they all died in an explosionduring an op many years ago. He lost his entire team, and that’s why he isn’t much of a team player.

Since he was drinking at the time, Command sent Drew home as punishment, which is why he wasn’t with Echo during their last mission.

However, now that the truth is out, Drew is becoming more open with Bravo. While surveilling JunSEAL Teamseason 7, episode 6, Drew explains that he drove a Humvee over spike strips all those years ago. Since he was drinking at the time, Command sent Drew home as punishment, which is why he wasn’t with Echo during their last mission.
