A Strong Cast Will Be Key To This Reimagining Of A Classic Story

The cast list forRobin Hoodboasts many strong British actors, and this will help capture the English spirit of the series. McQueen is best known for her two-year stint as Lily Drinkwell in British soapHollyoaks. Her casting as Marian comes right off the back of her wrapped filming on theStarz prequel showOutlander: Blood of My Blood, and she also appeared in projects includingBelgravia: The Next Chapter,Masters of the Air, and the Robert Zemeckis feature filmHere.

The opportunity to reimagine the character (and the story) via television promises to be an exciting and dynamic development.

McQueen now inherits a role played by a range of actors, including Cate Blanchett, Audrey Hepburn, Uma Thurman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Eve Hewson, and Olivia de Havilland. However, her portrayal will be the most ambitious due to the contemporary twist in the upcoming series.
