Andorseason 2 is right around the corner, and each of these majorStar Warsevents could be depicted in the show.Andorseason 2 is set to release on August 10, 2025, on Disney+, and as one of only two confirmedupcomingStar Warsshows, there’s a lot riding on it.Details aboutAndorseason 2leave plenty of thrilling questions on the table, although the unique structure of the show drops some major and exciting hints about what this second and final season ofAndormay have in store.

TheAndorseason 2 timelinewill begin one year afterAndorseason 1 and will consist of four blocks of arcs. Each block will represent a span of only a few days, and there will be a year between each block, leading up to the events ofRogue One: A Star Wars Story. This means thatAndorseason 2 will run concurrent withStar Wars Rebels, which reveals quite a bit about what could be in store for Cassian Andor, Mon Mothma, and many other characters fromAndorseason 1.

Star Wars Rebels characters in season 4

Ahsoka Tano Works As A Rebel Spy

Star Wars Rebels Confirmed Ahsoka Was Working Under The Code Name “Fulcrum”

Rebelsrevealed that Ahsoka Tano was alive and (relatively) well after being one of the fewJedi survivors of Order 66. She was operating underthe code name Fulcrum, a name that had actually been used by Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars era. It was in this capacity, as a Rebel spy, that Ahsoka ultimately linked up with other Imperial Era Jedi, Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger.

It’s possible but somewhat unlikely that Ahsoka will make an appearance inAndorseason 2. Yes, she was active at the time, but her presence would feel a bit out of place in the show. LikeRogue One,Andorseason 1 made a point of focusing on stories beyond the Jedi and the Sith—even as the Empire remains a domineering presence. Even for viewers who are massive fans of Ahsoka, it would be a bit disappointing for the story to shift focus towards her.

The Ghost Crew Oppose The Empire On Lothal

By 4 BBY, The Rebels Crew Was Already Openly Resisting The Empire

Also inRebels, the Ghost crew, consisting of Kanan, Ezra, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Zeb Orrelios, and Chopper, all took a stand against the Empire on Lothal. Lothal was Ezra’s home planet, and it had long been dominated by the Empire. In about 4 BBY, theRebelscrew had begun openly challenging the Empire, and many rebel cells on other planets joined them. This became such a significant threat to the Empire that Darth Vader himself participated in the search for the rebels.

Darth Vader himself participated in the search for the rebels.

It’s possible that the rebel activity on Lothal will pop up inAndorseason 2. While theRebelscharacters are unlikely to appear, it would make sense for such a threat to be referenced inAndorseason 2. This may even mean the rebellion on the planet being discussed among the Imperials rather than depicted on screen, but it’s easy to imagine this majorRebelsmoment playing some sort of role inAndorseason 2.

Star Wars Rebels Timeline Explained: When Each Season Takes Place

From Ezra and the crew’s first meeting to Ahsoka and Sabine’s reunion, here’s when each Star Wars Rebels season takes place in the Star Wars timeline.

Grand Admiral Thrawn Is Promoted

Thrawn Is Tapped To Stop The Rebels Crew

Although Darth Vader is an obvious villain inRebels, and he even has some essential characterization in the show,Grand Admiral Thrawnended up feeling like one of the most significant villains in all 4 seasons ofRebels. He wasn’t Grand Admiral Thrawn at the very beginning of the show, though. Rather,Thrawn was promoted to Grand Admiral after the Batonn insurgency, in about 2 BBY.

It’s unclear and difficult to predict whetherAndorseason 2 will incorporate Thrawn in any way, but it would make sense forStar Warsto make this move. Thrawn was essential inRebels, and seeing him in his leadership role inAndorseason 2 would be logical. Thrawn has already appeared in live-action inAhsoka, so that would also not be a limitation. Perhaps the most compelling evidence thatAndorseason 2 might feature Thrawn is that it would benefitStar Wars, which has just made Thrawn a key figure once again withtheAhsokaending.

Mon Mothma Resigns From The Imperial Senate & Delivers A Key Speech For The Rebellion

Mon Mothma Has Already Proven Important In Andor

InRebels, Mon Mothma left Coruscant after years of working within the Imperial Senate alongside Bail Organa as secret rebel fighters. Coinciding with her exit was the incredible speech she delivered in 2 BBY, the Declaration of the Rebel Alliance. This speech was essentially the rallying cry of the Rebellion, and, like Maarva Andor’s speech inAndorseason 1, it radicalized many who heard it.

This speech was essentially the rallying cry of the Rebellion.

It will be downright shocking ifAndorseason 2 doesn’t include this speech in some form. Mon Mothma was already a main character inAndorseason 1, and this is a pivotal moment in her largerStar Warsstory. It would also be brilliant to hear this speech once again and see it in live-action, so, hopefully, this is one moment that will be reproduced inAndorseason 2. One complication is that Mon Mothma delivered the speech while aboard the Ghost, alongside theRebelscharacters. Perhaps this will be something Cassian simply hears.

Princess Leia Learns That Bail And Breha Organa Are Rebels

The Organas Were Essential For The Rebellion

Princess Leia ultimately became one of the most important rebel fighters of them all, but she didn’t grow up knowing that her parents were deeply entrenched in the Rebellion. In fact, it wasn’t until Leia was 16 years old that she discovered her parents' rebel activity and joined them. She had been plenty involved in her parents' political leanings and humanitarian work, but this was a major shift for her all the same.

It’s very unlikely Leia’s revelation will be shown inAndorseason 2, for a host of reasons. For one,Star Warshas been hesitant to recast Leia following Carrie Fisher’s tragic passing beforeStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, opting for de-aging technology inRogue One. For another, just like with Ahsoka Tano,a Leia Organa cameo would simply be too distracting.Andorseason 1 also confirmed the show’s hesitancy to reveal any major cameos, and, presumably, season 2 will be the same.

Saw Gerrera Leads The Insurgency On Jedha

Rogue One And Andor Season 1 Revealed How Important Saw Gerrera Was

Saw Gerrera has become one of theStar Warscharacters seen most throughouttheStar Warstimeline, after appearances inStar Wars: The Clone Wars,Rogue One, and evenAndorseason 1, among others. What hasn’t been depicted yet, however, is the beginning of Gerrera’s insurgency on Jedha. InRogue One, Gerrera is stationed on Jedha, and he has clearly been there for quite some time, pushing back against the Empire.

It would make plenty of sense forAndorseason 2 to reveal more about Saw Gerrera’s time on Jedha. Gerrera has already been a major character inAndor, and so much ofRogue Oneis built upon Gerrera’s involvement with the rebels, at least earlier on in the movie. This connection would perfectly set the stage for the events ofRogue One, which is at least in part whatAndorseason 2 is meant to do.

Thrawn Disappears (And So Does Ezra Bridger)

Both Thrawn And Ezra End Up On Peridea

One of the most significant events in all ofRebelsis the disappearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger, which takes place intheRebelsfinale. At the time, it was unknown what happened to Thrawn and Ezra or if they would ever be seen again. Since then,Ahsokahas revealed that both characters eventually ended up on Peridea, outside the mainStar Warsgalaxy.

While it’s possible Thrawn will have some sort of involvement inAndorseason 2, it would be odd for his disappearance to be what the show featured. Not only has this event already been depicted adequately, but also, this just isn’t whatAndorseason 2 is going to be focused on. It plays a role, of course, but in a season that has entire years to cover, it is very unlikely this will be in season 2.

Alliance High Command Move To Yavin 4

This Move Would Come To Define Star Wars

Led by Mon Mothma, the Alliance High Command was the leadership council working to bring an end to the Empire and restore the Republic.Originally, the Alliance High Command was based on Dantooine. However, before the now iconic Battle of Yavin (for which theStar Warsyears are named), the Alliance High Command transferred to a new headquarters, on Yavin 4.

Like many events involving Mon Mothma, such as her speech, it seems likelyAndorseason 2 will either reference or directly depict this move. Especially consideringAndorseason 2 will lead right up to the events ofRogue One, which in turn leads right intoA New Hope, this is a crucial event that should be depicted. This may also elucidate much more about this move, as the circumstances surrounding the decision have yet to be entirely defined inStar Wars.

The Ghorman Massacre

In 2 BBY, Tarkin Carried Out One Of His Worst Acts

The Ghorman Massacre was an absolutely devastating event inStar Wars, but it has yet to be depicted in any ofStar Wars’movies and TV shows. This tragedy was mentioned inRebels, which makes sense, given it occurred in 2 BBY. In Legends, the massacre was led by Tarkin, andStar Warscanon will presumably match that story as well. In both cases, the Ghorman Massacre was a horrific slaughter of citizens who were peacefully protesting the Empire.

It seems quite likelyAndorseason 2 will depict or at the very least mention this event. As Cassian Andor is getting drawn further and further into the Rebellion, this is exactly the kind of event that would be on his radar and would only intensify his desire to wipe out the Empire. Given this has also only been alluded to inStar Wars, it would be the perfect time for it to finally be shown on screen (and remind everyone how evil the Empire really is).

The Siege of Lothal

Darth Vader’s Star Wars Rebels Appearance Was Groundbreaking

Just like theRebelscrew’s resistance to the Empire on Lothal,Rebels depicted the Siege of Lothal, which also brought about some of the most significant moments in all ofRebels. It was during this arc that Ahsoka Tano, Ezra Bridger, and Kanan Jarrus came face-to-face with Darth Vader. This became a critically important moment inRebels, for the Ghost crew and Ahsoka especially, but it also had larger implications for the Rebellion as well.

Yet again, it seems likely this event will get some sort of acknowledgment inAndorseason 2, assuming a focus of the show is the various pockets of rebel activity occurring throughout those years. Were it depicted inAndorseason 2, though, it would likely look quite different.Andorseason 2 would undoubtedly be much more focused on the boots-on-the-ground issues and would not feature Ahsoka, Vader, Ezra, and Kanan.
