“The war against the Empire may be over, but a good soldier knows that there’s plenty of work left to be done after the last shots are fired.My rebel friends and I are still picking up the pieces, but as far as we can tell, Palpatine is gone for good and the galaxy is finally free.”

Rex was clearly still alive even after the Empire fell, and he’s never been the type to truly sit anything out. His intentions are also clear; he wants to help the galaxy rebuild after the Empire. I, like manyStar Warsfans, am very eager to see Rex’s return.Ahsokaalready teased this by finally introducing live-action Captain Rex in a flashback sequence when Ahsoka was inthe World Between Worlds. This appearance has me so much more excited about the possibility of a full arc for Rex in live-action, which could happen in eitherAhsokaseason 2 or evenThe Mandalorian & Grogu. The relationship between Rex and Ahsoka is also one I would love to see again.

In many ways, Rex and Ahsoka have the same trauma.
