Terrifier 3director Damien Leone reveals his least favorite franchise theories and hints that a major character’s fate may not be what it seems. The latest entry in Leone’s blood-soaked and increasingly successfulTerrifierfilm series follows Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera), who discovers that Art the Clown has been resurrectedand is fiendishly targeting her family and others ahead of Christmas. Along with LaVera, the cast ofTerrifier 3includes Elliott Fullam, Samantha Scaffidi, Bryce Johnson, Margaret Anne Florence, Antonella Rose, and David Howard Thornton asthe murderous Art the Clown.

During Monster-Mania Con’s screening and Q&A forTerrifier 3, for whichScreen Rantwas in attendance, Leone discussed some of his least favorite theories. One involves the identity of Art the Clown, and that audiences believe he could be Sienna’s father, but Leone revealed that question would not be answered right away.A second assumption he mentioned is that Jonathan (Fullam) was not killed. My least favorite is that everybody thinks that Jason [Patric] is really Art. That Sienna’s father is Art the Clown. But, I mean, that’s a theory. You won’t know what anything is until the saga comes to a definitive conclusion. That’s a very big theory, and another one is Jonathan is not really dead. Who thinks Jonathan’s still alive? We’ll see.

What Leone’s Comments Mean For The Terrifier Franchise

The Origin Of Art The Clown, Nor Jonathan’s Fate Have Been Confirmed

Not much has been revealed about Art, butTerrifiercontinues to solidify that Thornton’s character is demonic. However, theories regarding Sienna and Jonathan’s late father, Michael (Jason Patric), and his apparent connection to Art, began swirling afterTerrifer 2. In the predecessor, which introduced Sienna and the spirit manifesting as The Little Pale Girl, it was revealed that Michael visualized Art before eventually taking his own life.Michael appeared inTerrifier 3, through Sienna’s dreams, butthe movies suggest that he anticipated her battle against Art, not that he became the maniacal clown.

Jonathan’s Note To Sienna In Terrifier 3 Explained

Terrifier 3 sees Lauren LaVera’s Sienna read a note that Jonathan wrote about Art the Clown, but what does it say and why is it so important?

The identity of Art the Clown remains a mystery, as does the fate of Jonathan near the end ofTerrifier 3. The film does not portray his death, which could imply that he is still alive somewhere, and while a possessed Victoria (Scaffidi) reveals that she has Jonathan’s decapitated head and glasses,a similar trick was used to convince Sienna’s aunt that Gabbie (Rose) had been killed. If Jonathan did not fall victim to Art, it’s worth wondering what happened to him, considering that Greg (Johnson), who meant to pick up Jonathan from school, got murdered.

Art the Clown holds a knife in Terrifier 3.

Terrifier 3does not show Greg being killed, only the aftermath, but Jonathan’s uncle does arrive at campus, where Art had already murdered Cole and Mia, so it’s possible that Jonathan could have run into the clown.
